I love Rory Sutherland, when I listen to his contrarian views on marketing and business, it always makes me think and question.
If you want to see Rory speak on stage then join me at BizX 2026, at the ICC in Newport on April 15th - 17th.
He will be joined by a host of great speakers including Gareth Southgate, Sara, Davies, Mo Gawdat and Tim Campbell.
I have two discounted tickets for people in my network who want to grow personally and in business.
DM if you want the tickets

Helping business owners and leaders grow with less stress. I’ll help you spot obstacles, create strategies, and build the team, profit, and freedom you want.
Ready to grow? Let’s talk.
The fastest way to change your business,
is to change the rooms you spend time in.
That’s why I’m heading to BizX 2026 next month.
Three days at ICC Wales with some brilliant speakers including:
• Sir Gareth Southgate
• Rory Sutherland
• Sara Davies
• Mo Gawdat
• Jeb Blount
• Brad Sugars
It’s one of the few events built specifically for business owners who want to scale properly.
Better systems.
Stronger teams.
Clearer strategy.
As the organisers say:
“If you’re not in the room, you’re not in.”
I’ve managed to secure two discounted tickets for people in my network.
If you’re a business owner who would like to come along, drop a comment or message me, and I’ll share the details.
I’ll give them to the first two people who reply.
It would be great to have a few more familiar faces there.

It was great to celebrate our first YESS Foundation-UK graduates last night Framlingham College. Thank you Louise North for hosting us and to Sara Jane Hinchliffe and Steve Magnall for sharing your words of wisdom.
The purpose of the course is to give young people the skills needed to start their own business or even to just be a better employee.
It was a honour to work with this group who will be the first of many at Fram and I plan to roll it out across Norfolk and Suffolk.

When a car-park PR shoot meant a big promotion and a bigger haircut 😄
This photo popped up in my archive this week.
PR shoot.
Car park in Twickenham.
Year 2001
I’d just joined Discreet after five years at my first company.
Suddenly, I wasn’t just doing the job.
I was owning products and driving direction.
Big step. Big responsibility. Big haircut.
What really made me smile was thinking about the technology at the time.
Back then:
📱 Nokia 3310s ruled
💻 Laptops existed, but mostly stayed on desks
🌐 Broadband was arriving, slowly, if you were lucky
📧 Email mattered, but didn’t dominate
📊 PowerPoint felt like progress, not a punchline
Fast-forward 25 years:
📱 Your phone is your office, studio, and marketing team
🤖 AI can draft, analyse, and challenge your thinking
⚡ Speed is assumed. Clarity is the advantage
🧠 The real bottleneck is decision-making, not technology
The tools have changed dramatically.
The leadership challenge hasn’t.
You still have to decide what matters, take responsibility for direction, and step up before you feel ready.
Different decade.
Different tech.
Same growth moment.
👉 Question CTA:
What’s the biggest change you’ve seen in how we work over the last 20–25 years?
Happy Friday. And yes, be kind to the haircut.
We have made some changes at ActionCOACH, starting with the brand but it is so much more than that.
