A good win today for the U15s against a solid Mousehole side who made life very awkward. The first half we failed to find any real rythmn in the game and found ourselves one down. We had a couple of chances and hit the woodwork twice but eventually found the breakthrough after good work from Stanley and then Bobby getting round the back to square for Henry who finished at the second time of asking. In the second half it was more like the football we want to try and play and some slick work between Henry and Kai saw Stanley slipped in and he finished well into the corner, minutes later it was 3. After Bobby brought the ball down in the middle of the park he got his head off and clipped a ball straight into Stanleys path who out paced the centre back to finish again in the corner. We made it four when from a corner Kai chested the ball into Teddys path to slam low into the corner. We kept pushing for more goals but for some good stops and the offside flag the score remained four. Zachy made a fine stop a couple of minutes from time to prevent another Mousehole goal. A big well done to todays player of the match Bobby.

Our U15s played their second game of the season today against Truro City looking to carry on our good start to the season. We didn't start great and we were a bit flat and allowed Truro to grow in confidence. The back four marshalled the Truro attacks well and allowed no shots on goal. Just before a half time a moment of quality from the G put Stanley in a good position and good low finish put us 1-0 ahead. The second half was a completely different affair and we came flying out of the blocks and 3 quick fire goals 2 from Stanley and 1 from Teddy put us four up and in control. From there we controlled the game and started showing some slick passing and this led to another goal apiece for Jaxon I and Teddy.
Marley grabbed his first for the club with a cracking strike from 30 yards. We rounded off the scoring after some good interchange play between Filip, Jackson H and Bobby, Bobby cannoned a shot off the bar and Jaxon I followed in and rifled the rebound into the corner.
The defence of Leyla, Harrison, Jovann and Jay defended brilliantly and snuffed out any shots or attacks early to protect stand in keeper Riley. Meaning we finished with an 8-0 win. Goals Stanley x3, Teddy x2, Jaxon x2 Marley x1. A huge well done to players of the match Marley and Riley who stepped up to help the team today going in goal.

“Sunday saw our u10 team play their first league game of the season in their local derby vs Newquay.

There were 2 debutants in the lineup with Henry and Aramis playing their first league games.

We started the game slowly finding ourselves a few goals down but thanks to some great team work and smart play, by the end of the second quarter we were level and ready to kick on in the second half.

Parker, already on 4 goals was a catalyst in midfield for an incredible last 2 quarters. Further goals from Parker and Oliver made it level going into the last quarter.

Aramis in goal made some great saves, some super defending from Max, James and Cody and a last minute Parker free kick saw us come out on top.

A huge shout out to Parker for his incredible MOTM display! This team has shown such incredible development and togetherness in the last 9 months and this showed in their performance.”

This weekend saw our U15s play our opening game of the 2026/27 season away at Culdrose. We started the game sluggishly and took a while to get into our stride. Once we settled into the game we played some neat football and after a good interchange of play Jovann played a ball into Stanley who found Keegan with a flick round the corner to slam home. We quickly doubled our lead after Bobby won the first and second ball in midfield, Stanley beat a couple of men and forced the Culdrose keeper into an excellent save but Keegan reacted first to make it 2. Two could've been three when Jaxon I swung in a delightful ball and Keegan couldn't find the goal.
After half time Culdrose came out fired up and put some pressure on but the back four kept them away from goal with some astute defending. We then made it 3 when after more work from Jaxon, Stanley chipped the keeper from 25 yards. We carried on creating chances and but for some good keeping and wayward finishing we could've scored a few more goals. Culdrose grabbed a late consolation after a goal our keeper Zachy said we will never speak about again for a final score of 3-1 in our favour. A good solid performance to start our season against a good solid Culdrose side. Well done to player of the match Keegan who worked his socks off and grabbed a couple of goals as well. Yesterday saw our final pre season game against a familiar foe and side playing a league above us this season Helston. In a hugely competitive game that finished 2-2, again we had lots of positives to take forward into the season and more minutes in the legs. We also scored two fantastic goals via Keegan and Jaxon. Huge well done to player of the match Blake. We also wish Helston all the best for the season. Next Sunday sees us begin our Cornwall Youth Football League campaign away at Culdrose.
