Another team being added!

A brand new Godolphin U16 football team is preparing for an exciting new season, and we're looking to invite players to our trial training session on the following date:

17 Tuesday 21st July • 18:00 - 19:30
9 Pitch TBC

The session will include a meet & greet, followed by a
15-minute warm-up and then a competitive match to give everyone the chance to get involved, meet the coaches, and show what they can do!

We're proud to offer fantastic facilities, including:
* Use of local pitches (one of which is undergoing significant upgrading)
* Access to a local popular gym (free of charge)
* Use of the Edgcliff Club for social gatherings, post-match food, pool, and watching the games together!

Last night saw the under 14’s and under 9’s come together to celebrate an amazing season at their awards ceremony.
As a club we are so blessed to have a group of such talented players and just all round nice kids.
We would like to round off the year showing our appreciation to all of our sponsors, as without you, we would not be the club that we are today

Cornwall Youth Football League

Last weekend saw our U14s play their final game of the season against Holmans. We started the game brightly moving the ball around the pitch well and created a few chances but couldn't finish the well worked moves. Just when we all started getting the feeling it would be one of those days Henry grabbed a couple of quick fire goals to settle any nerves and give us a good foothold in the game. We managed a couple more goals before half time one of them a cracking individual goal from Alfie. We were playing some of our best football of the season at this point with some great incisive quick football, amongst this Henry rounded off an excellent day with his hat trick after an assist from the superb on the day Jackson Holbrook who finished with three assists and a goal. Holmans grabbed a couple of goals in the final 7 minutes of the game but by then the game was won and we finished 7-2 winners. A great performance to round off the season. Well done to players of the match Henry and Jackson.

This week we had back to back visits to Helston to play both Helston sides in our league as we carried on our run of 5 games in 14 days to wrap up the season. On Thursday night we drew 1-1 away to top of the league Spitfires in a rerun of the cup final less than a month ago. In the first half we were excellent and took the lead with a sweet strike from 25 yards from Tommy. After that Helston equalised against the run of play when they reacted quickest to a loose ball in the area. After that we went back on the front foot and hit the bar through Filip. After that the game became an arm wrestle and neither side could find the breakthrough. Well done to potm Blake.
In our second visit in three days we won out 3-1 against the Titans. We were quick out of the traps and Kai grabbed his first goal for the club to put us 1 up. The Titans came back into the game and Zachy made two massive stops to keep us ahead. As we approached the last 5 of the half Keegan grabbed our second slamming home after a loose ball dropped to him in the box. Helston grabbed one back just before the half to make it 2-1. We managed to wrap up the game in the final minutes when Keegan grabbed his second with a great finish. Well done to potm Kai.
