Lovely surf on Saturday but tough to catch in the strong offshore wind. We did a theory session on best practices to catch waves easier in these conditions:
1. Lay 2-3 inches further forward on your board to keep the nose down and stop the wind getting underneath it.
2. Catch the wave later as there is less of a window where gravity is acting more aggressively than the wind blowing you off the back.
3. Don't stand up until you know you are starting to drop down the wave face (you may need 1 or 2 more paddle strokes to achieve this).

Great little wave at Fistral yesterday. Kieran tried out a hardboard for the first time and Jamie took a longboatd while everyone else went to foamies (a good day to change things up and try new things).
nqy was on the beach getting the evidence. 🤙

Last Saturday's session was a scorcher. Small fun waves and a gentle offshore breeze 🔥
