The first time I attempted to break the World Record for a 1km open water swim using only one arm, technical issues (tech issues that meant I actually swam more than the necessary 1km) meant my attempt was not accepted by Guinness.
I was gutted.
All that training and the incredible amount of effort it took - physically and mentally - went to waste. I felt I’d let people down.
But you know I didn't let that stop me.
It pushed me harder to make sure I did everything right the next time. And I did! Faster than ever before (35 minutes and 48 seconds), gaining a World Record and raising over £600k for REORG at the same time!

Mark Richards, Long distance swimmer - "I've just completed a 28 mile, 20 hr. solo swim from Land's End to St. Mary's in the Isles of Scilly. It's a really tough open ocean swim with much of the time swimming directly against the tide. Both in training (of which there was over 1000km in the 12 months before) and on the day of my solo swim, my Snugg wetsuits have been incredible. In the 20hrs of the swim I was warm, the suit was flexible and I didn't get one bit of chafing! That's a testament to the quality of the materials and just how well they made to measure suit fitted me. I wouldn't choose any other suit that's for sure".
