The club held its presentation night a few weeks ago in Saval GAC.

This season has seen many trophies won across the different age groups from the U14 Girls team going unbeaten in the league and winning the Mid Ulster Division 1 in their first season at that level to the U13 side winning the Carnbane League after coming from 2-0 down to win 3-2. Lastly we have Ashgrove Rovers Utd U12 who wrapped up the Lisburn League on the final day winning 5-4 and then a week after thrashed Ballymacash Rangers 4-0 in the cup final to secure the double.

We would like to thank all the players, parents, coaches and volunteers for a tremendous season which has seen us being able to provide football to nearly 190 kids from U7 to U16.

Photos from our U13 sides final on Friday night against Brookvale. Wasn’t to be on the night for the boys however they didn’t give up and fought to get into the game right up until the last whistle.

Some excellent performances across the board, defensively under pressure Max stood out putting in a brilliant performance, Shea another great showing in defence. Ronan grabbed a great goal and caused them problems.

Lisburn Castlereagh Junior League Final
Ashgrove Rovers Utd 4–0 Ballymacash Rangers
Bluebell Arena | KO: 9:15am
Ashgrove Rovers Utd were crowned champions after a dominant and disciplined performance against Ballymacash Rangers in the first of today’s Lisburn Castlereagh Junior League finals at the Bluebell Arena.
Coming into the match well prepared and highly motivated, Ashgrove showed from the outset that they were determined to bring the cup home. However, it was Ballymacash who started the brighter, creating the first couple of chances. Goalkeeper Callum D was in outstanding form early on, producing confident saves to keep his side level and set the tone for the rest of the match.
Those crucial interventions proved to be a turning point. Ashgrove grew in belief, and within 10 minutes Archie produced a moment of quality, curling a superb effort from outside the box to break the deadlock.
From there, Ashgrove took control. The defensive unit was exceptional throughout, with the ever reliable partnership of Kyle T and Niall McS proving a formidable challenge for the opposition. They were well supported by Cormac F, who delivered arguably his best performance in an Ashgrove shirt, alongside James K who added further solidity to the back line.
Up front, Louie M’s energy and attacking threat made the difference. Full of passion and skill, he doubled Ashgrove’s lead before adding a third before halftime, putting his side firmly in control at the break.
In the second half, the midfield trio of Bobby D, Cilly T, and captain Shane C executed their game plan perfectly closing down space, forcing Ballymacash long, and creating opportunities on the counterattack. Their discipline paid off as Louie completed his hat-trick to make it 4–0.
With Ballymacash pushing forward through long balls in the closing stages, fresh legs were introduced in the form of Lori and Dean to help see the game out. Ashgrove’s defence remained resolute, managing the game professionally until the final whistle.
At full time, Ashgrove celebrated a superb team performance to lift the trophy. Credit must also go to Ballymacash Rangers for a competitive and spirited match, as well as their coaches for their excellent conduct on the sidelines.
A special mention goes to Louie M, who was named Player of the Match for his outstanding hat-trick and all round display.
Congratulations to the Ashgrove squad Champions once again. 🔴⚫️🏆
The club also extends thanks to the Lisburn Castlereagh Junior League for hosting a fantastic event at the Bluebell Arena.

Ashgrove Rovers Utd U12 League Champions 🏆

Match Report : Final League Game of the Season
Ashgrove Rovers Utd vs Lisburn Rovers 2014
All Ashgrove had to do today was win to secure the league title, with other teams having played more games. However, after a three-week break due to circumstances beyond the league’s control, this was never going to be straightforward.
Ashgrove started brightly and set the tone early, with Man of the Match Louie delivering an outstanding performance, scoring four goals ⚽️⚽️⚽️⚽️. Archie added another ⚽️ to put Ashgrove in a strong position. Ashgrove hit the crossbar on multiple occasions as wave after wave of chances came in.
Credit to Lisburn Rovers, who never gave up and kept pushing throughout the match. They capitalised on Ashgrove’s push for more goals and responded with four goals of their own ⚽️⚽️⚽️⚽️, making it a competitive and entertaining contest.
Despite the challenges, Ashgrove showed great resilience. It’s been a tough season with constant disruptions , injuries and player unavailability have meant the team has rarely had a full squad. Even today, players had to step into unfamiliar positions, but the squad adapted and got the job done.
Team:
Callum D (GK), Niall McS, Kealan G (C), James K, Kyle T, Bobby D, Shane C, Archie S, Lori S, Dean C, Cormac F, Louie M
With this result, Ashgrove Rovers United are crowned League Champions once again 🔴⚫️🏆

Ashgrove Rovers U12s signed off their season with a spirited and hard-fought performance in an unlucky 4–3 defeat to Glendowan. In what proved to be an entertaining and competitive match, the team showed great determination, skill, and resilience right to the final whistle.

Darragh was solid in goal, making several important saves to keep Ashgrove in the contest. In defence, Senan, Harry, Ross, and Cathal worked tirelessly under pressure, putting in strong tackles and showing great teamwork against a lively Glendowan attack. The midfield unit of Ruairi, Jack, Connor H, and Noah battled hard throughout, linking play well and driving the team forward with energy and commitment.

Up front, Conor C, Noah, and Ellie caused constant problems for the opposition defence with Conor C scoring an excellent hat-trick with clinical finishing and sharp movement.

There were chances to win the match but despite the result not going their way, the team can be very proud of their performance, effort, and attitude throughout the match. It was a fitting end to a season full of growth, teamwork, and memorable moments.

A huge thank you goes to all the players for their dedication and hard work across the season, as well as to the parents for their continued support on and off the pitch. Finally, sincere appreciation to everyone involved in Ashgrove Rovers for their guidance, organisation, and commitment to the team—it has been a fantastic season for all involved.
