Due to rising costs of running the yard and caring for the horses we have no alternative but to increase our costs for all riding lessons by £5 per person from the 1st of August 2026.

10 Years at Narrow Water: On to the Next Chapter! 🥂🐴✨

Today marks exactly 10 years since I agreed to take over the reins at Narrow Water Stud & Equestrian Centre. It’s been a hell of a ride with plenty of ups and downs, but looking back, I really believe that I’ve accomplished everything I set out to do a decade ago!
I want to thank everyone who has helped me in any way over the years. You all know exactly who you are, and I truly and deeply appreciate every single one of you but I do have to give a special mention to Shannon Magee for her loyalty, dedication and hard work over the years, without her I really don’t believe Narrow Water would still have me!

From day one, my mission has been to provide quality equestrian education and today, Narrow Water proudly offers:

* 🐴 Riding lessons for all abilities and ages also children’s clubs and forest hacks.
* 🎓 BHS training and professional career development through apprenticeship schemes and privately.
* 🌱 Equine Therapy sessions.
* 🐎 Carriage Driving lessons.
* 🏆 Advanced Dressage training, standing out as one of the very few schools in Ireland providing lessons on advanced schoolmasters up to Prix St George level

Over the years, we have also enjoyed great success on the competition scene—both for myself and for many of my pupils. The results out there truly speak for themselves! 🥇

Constant Growth & Facility Upgrades 💪
To support our horses and riders, we have continuously reinvested into the yard over the last 10 years. We have completely transformed the facilities by adding:
* A brand-new arena surface and professional arena mirrors.
* A second sand arena / turnout arena.
* All-weather turnout paddocks to battle the elements.
* A horse walker.
* 17 additional stables to expand our community.

The Next 10 Years... 🚀

It definitely doesn’t stop here. I am already looking forward to the next decade! I currently have some lovely, young homebred horses and ponies that I cannot wait to produce over the coming years. I am hoping for lots of competition success with them, but ultimately, they will become the next generation of amazing schoolmasters for Narrow Water.
The improvements never stop. Over the coming years, I plan to add a track system for the horses. And did someone mention cross-country? We will see! Though with these wet winters becoming the norm, maybe a roof over the arena might be a better plan☔️

Thankyou and well done to all our competitors at our 2 day Botanica dressage show.
The weather was a bit wet at times but that didn’t dampen spirits and it was lovely to see so many young riders competeing in their first ever competition.
Thank you to our judges Coreen and Lucinda and to everyone who helped over the weekend to help make it run smoothly and to Blackhorse photography for capturing all the special moments.
