Fitness and health takes in a whole plethora of elements not just what you see in mirror. Challenge and test yourself in all ways but listen to your internal voice it will tell you everything you need to know when to train hard, when to rest, when to maintain.

A picture from a photoshoot with Mike Holdsworth from maybe 2011/2012. I dieted and prepped for this for about 4 week. I was younger and quite lean at the time all ready so made the process easier.

Movement is medicine or so they say. I thought I'd share a little movement flow I've been working on. It has particular focus on hips and the back two areas I see that are often tight. Focus on breathing to relax into the stretch.
When the body is tight and stressed you become less likely to exercise and challenge it. Think tightness... the cure is movement. Stress... one of the things that helps is deep breathing and endorphins. A little movement flow for a few minutes will greatly improve your day and get the energy flowing.

I'd just thought I'd share and hope this benefits someone🙏

Get outside your comfort zone. Try something that makes you nervous. You just might be glad you did.

This was certainly the case for me having taken part in my first offical 10k. A last minute decision and certainly not feeling my fittest after nearly three weeks hoilday in America. I figured I had nothing to lose and it would be a new experience. Tho it still made me feel alittle nervous if I'm honest.

The event had a wonderful atmosphere with spectators and runners alike willing everyone on to their best effort. I picked up a pb for my 10k and my family got to see me reach the finish line for an added bonus.

The point is I could have listened to the inner voice saying "I'm too busy" or "I'm not a runner" but I didn't I put myself out there and as a reward I had an enjoyable experience and got to run along side(briefly until they past me) plenty of amazing athletes which always is inspiring.

When on your fitness journey don't be afraid to step outside your comfort zone and try something new.

HOILDAY HAVOC, GOAL SETTING AND COOL TSHIRTS.

So just back from an amazing family hoilday to disney world Florida. The weather was amazing. The parks where amazing. The food was amazing. A little too amazing shall we say I enjoyed my food. As a result I maybe gained a kilo or six!

Coming back home i was excited to get stuck into a challenge and drop my hoilday weight and then some.

Being the merchandise fiend that I am i had purchased quite a few new tshirts while in America and that fit perfectly into my goals. So I drew up a chart that refers lose one kilo earn one tshirt. A very wise client of mine informed me this is called "delayed gratification"

I'm really enjoying this form of goal setting. Definitely let's me celebrate achieving those small goals on the way to a bigger one. Not to mention I'm sure the the tshirts will fit better.

Hope this helps someone with goal setting. It doesn't have to be something as extravagant as a tshirt. Just a little reward when you hit those goals... you deserve it.
