Let’s talk about ….
As a trainer I have had a few gym members and clients telling me they are aiming to look like *insert celebrity name*
And I’m not going to lie, I have done this in the past. The picture in this post (minus my face over The Rocks) used to be my Lock Screen on my phone. This was my dream physique and let’s be honest it is a dream and that’s it. Your average gym goer who has a family, a full time job and a life away from the gym will never achieve a body like the celebrities or influencers they strive to look like so much.
It’s these peoples jobs to look like this, they are more than likely on anabolic steroids, have strict diets and have all the time in the world to train like a fanatic. Plus The Rock has crazy genetics.
So what you should do, is take a look in the mirror and think how do I become the absolute best version of myself and strive for that. Here my tips:
Get a gym programme
Train consistently
Stay hydrated
Sleep well
Don’t over indulge in calories
And a I promise you, you will be a much better version of yourself and feel better in your skin in no time

Nutrition
I am currently on a cut, I’ve had far too many sweets and drank far too many beers over Christmas and I’ve gained a few pounds. Now as a lad who is already hefty this isn’t a good situation to be in. So I’ve made it my January mission to right the wrongs of the back end of December.
Meal prepping comes first, so here is an example of a meal I would have. This here as the right balance of carbs, protein and essential fats. And it tastes amazing!!!

Happy New Year, been celebrating the last couple of days so this post is out a little later than planned.
First of all I’d like to address New Years Resolutions. As much as I like a motivational reboot, a lot of them become unrealistic and I have been guilty of dropping them after a week or so.
However, I believe 2022 should be a year of self development. And I believe in 4 steps in doing this.
1. Drink more water
2. Get quality sleep
3. Exercise
4. Broaden your mind
If you can achieve these, by January 2023 you will be in a better place physically and mentally 💪🏻👍🏼

Can only mean it’s deadlift day.
Deadlifts in my opinion should be a staple of every lifters program as it has many benefits such as:
1. Improves hamstring and glutes strength
2. Improves grip strength
3. Activates core muscles
4. Protects the lower back
5. Improves athletic performance
6. Develops back muscles
7. Increases mobility
