Stage 5 onboard from last weekend’s RSAC Scottish Rally. After the gearbox change in service, we were back out pushing to make up for lost time! ⏱️ ⚙️ 🔧

Sadly, our time on stage six was impacted when the organisers made a last-minute change from two minute intervals to 1 minute intervals just as we rolled up to the start line. Unfortunately this meant we spent most of the stage struggling to see through the dust of the previous car, it probably cost at least 15 seconds. I appreciate the organisers we’re trying to speed things up as it was getting late but it was extremely difficult to see as you can see from the second photograph which is us in the dust, the first car which was Natalie Robinson was on two minute starts and you can see the dust had cleared. Thankfully, it didn’t make any difference to our class position but took the fun out of this stage.

Really pleased with our result on the RSAC Scottish Rally, 2nd Historic and 15th overall. Had a gearbox blow up on stage 3 so had to do half the stage with only 4th and 5th gear, not ideal for a tight uphill hairpin !! Lost around 25 seconds in the stage.
Dave and Arran did a heroic job of swapping the gearbox in service in just over 30 minutes and we headed out for the second loop of stages.
Had a really hard push and managed to climb back up the leaderboard to claim back second historic and first in the Norther Historic Championship.
Really tough day on tyres, the image shows the remains of a brand new Pirelli GM6 after 15 minutes of abuse on Stages 4&5
Thanks to all the team for looking after us and special thanks to John Connor who did a brilliant job on the notes, I’m not sure how he even managed to get them all out in time on Dalbeattie stage.

Very hot and dusty day on the Nicky Gris Stages yesterday, slightly disappointed with 10th in the Historic class after trying hard all day. Couple of issues with the car slowed us on the second loop due to extreme heat under the bonnet but thoroughly enjoyed the day and the stages were mega.Thanks also to Ben and all the team at Allglass Anglia Rally Team for looking after both the car and us all day, great job.
Off to Bonnie Scotland next weekend for the RSAC Scottish Rally
