Not able to make your usual lesson? Our catch-up system is a great bonus that not many swim schools offer. From your own parent portal you can manage your own absences and book a catch-up lesson to suit your availability, so you will never need to miss a lesson.

If you have any questions about our absence policy or accessing your parent portal, please get in touch on 01325 965965 and we'll be able to help. Catch up lessons are available to everyone with a current monthly subscription.

Our venue, The Fish Tank in Newton Aycliffe, has an on-site coffee shop where you can relax before or after your swim.

🍕 The pizza's are a huge hit for an after swim treat! You can pre-order when you arrive and the team will make sure your food is ready to serve for after your swim. Or you could opt to have it to take-away and enjoy when you get home.

Taster sessions for this week are now available to book into online. We've got sessions for babies, toddlers and older children. Come along and get a feel for our facilities and swim programme before deciding whether we're right for you and your child.

Does your little one sleep well after their swimming lesson? 😴

Swimming lessons are great for helping your new baby regulate their sleeping patterns. The gentle exercise and stimulation from the multi-sensory lesson experience will help them wind down and relax. 😊

In our swimming lessons we use woggles / noodles and floats. Woggles encourage your little one to find their own body position and balance in the water. As they do, their independence and confidence builds and you’ll notice them becoming more active and effective at moving through the water.

Woggles also allow you to remove your support more easily whilst maintaining your child’s confidence.

They can be a bit “marmite” but please keep offering them and remain positive yourself whenever you see the woggles coming out. We promise you it’s worth it and you’ll see when they get to that independent stage! 🤗

Unlike lots of other swimming venues, our lessons don’t stop during the school holidays or on bank holidays. For young children, small gaps when learning to swim can have a big impact on their confidence. That’s why we chose a venue which allows us to continue our lessons all year round – seven days of the week!
