Our last tournament of the season - Round Robin Open Triples sponsored by Colin Faulds - £300 first prize.

£15 per triple, please send entries to David McHaffie or the Newton Stewart page - entries to be in by Tuesday 22nd September.

Can all members please provide food and raffle prizes.

The green will also be closed on conclusion of the tournament.

A great day at Newton Stewart Bowing Club, pairs competition today.
Congratulations to finalists Dougie Bark, Bud McIlwraith, John McGuire and Dabby McCreadie pictured with club President Derek Rogerson, a great final with Dougie and Bud coming out on top, thank you to everyone who took part, Brian and Mark for the green, which was playing well, all the people in the bar and kitchen for keeping everyone fed and watered and to the sponsors, Eric Hyslop Plumbers, Vogue Windows, Jewsons and Martin Jolly 😀

INFORMATION FOR ALL MEMBERS. All sweeps and club ties must be played in the direction away from the clubhouse using rinks 2, 3, 4 or 5. There are no exceptions to this expect for the below. The green now is set up to play both ways

Wigtownshire ties take priority over internal competitions and should be played across the green unless of course you specifically want to play it the other direction! Make sure its written on the blackboard and then any other games arranged have to be played in the same direction so that they know if they are starting earlier. Regardless of the opinion of anyone else exceptions have to be made under these circumstances.

What a great day at the Ian Broll open pairs at N/S eventual winners were David McHaffie and Walter Orr who played well all day and narrowly edged out Andrew (Pandy) Broll and Paul Thompson in a very close and entertaining final. Well done to all who turned up and supported the event and thanks to all at the club for their continued hard work. A special tx to the girls in the Kitchen for keeping us fed and watered through out quite a warm afternoon🏆
