Well that’s a wrap on the NBC Charity Day in aid of Highland Hospice and CHAS. Delighted to announce we raised just shy of £1000 for each charity but a silent donation has taken total raised to £2000.

Many thanks to all the bowlers who participated with teams from Argyll, Lochaber, Perthshire, Inverness-shire and the Black Isle.

A special mention also to The Lunchbox Boys for donating the prizes, our wonderful catering team in the kitchen, the green preparation crew and the event organisers.

The four group winners were:
Daniel Forsyth - Planefield
Craig Feltham - Aviemore
George Macpherson - Newtonmore
John Smith - Aviemore.

George and Johns teams made it through to the final which was a nail biter throughout. So much so they were tied 30-30 after 6 ends but Aviemore succeeded winning the extra end 6-4.

Finally if anyone has headed home in the wrong shoes can they please get in touch!!!

So we are all set up and ready to rumble for our Charity Triples tomorrow in aid of Highland Hospice and CHAS. Many thanks to our sponsors The Lunchbox Boys. As well as a raffle and Whisky Raffle we have a silent auction for the cabin below. Anyone wishing to place a bid that isn’t attending please pm us or one of the members.

The sunshine returned for our Junior Singles Final. James was victorious 8-6 in the 10 end match over Tyler. In a tight encounter throughout and a high quality match the score of 4 James secured on end 5 proved pivotal.

The 2026 Green Champion is James Whelan with his 2nd win of the week. Our final, final will be the Junior Singles between James C and Tyler on Thursday at 6pm.

Jude secured her 4th title of the week in an enthralling final this morning for the Jubilee Cup versus James Whelan. James secured set 1 with 2x3 in the final ends to win 9-7. Jude secured set 2 with an end to spare 7-2. The one end tie break ensued with Jude drawing a bowl 4 inches short of the jack to secure victory.
