This week at Northern Regional College, young people explored stop motion animation as part of our Digital Upskilling Programme. Using the photography skills they have developed throughout the programme, the group learned how to plan, capture, and edit creative stop motion scenes through sequencing images and visual storytelling their journeys on the programme. 📸🎬
It was fantastic to see participants build confidence in both photography and digital editing while working creatively as a team and bringing their ideas to life through animation. 🌟

A valuable update, hosted by The Bytes Project in Glengormley, last night on the 'Voices for Impact Project' - seeking to ensure that the voices and views of young people are heard.
Grateful for the invite, the chance to catch up again and also, of course, to Chris Quinn NICCY for his selfie 🤳 skills!

🌍✨ Shared Agenda for Peace Residential ✨🌍
What an incredible weekend spent with an amazing group of young people at our Shared Agenda for Peace residential! 💛
Throughout the residential, young people took part in a range of creative and outdoor activities designed to build confidence, connection, and understanding. One of the highlights was using the Stop Motion Studio app alongside LEGO to create their very own short films titled “Peace by Piece”. 🎬🧱 The creativity, teamwork, and storytelling that came out of this was just amazing to see!
We also got outdoors and made the most of the fresh air with a variety of activities, followed by a lovely trip to Newcastle 🌊 – giving everyone the chance to relax, explore, and spend time together outside of their usual environments.
Most importantly, this residential was about bringing young people together from different communities. New friendships were formed, barriers were broken down, and there was so much respect, laughter, and support shared across the group. 🤝
It’s always inspiring to see young people step outside their comfort zones, try something new, and realise how much they have in common with each other.
So proud of every single young person who took part 💫

A brilliant night for Emmet’s CyberQuest group in Glengormley, who after weeks of hard work and dedication have achieved their ICDL qualification. It’s a great achievement and shows the effort and teamwork they’ve put in throughout the journey, and now they’re already looking ahead to taking on further qualifications and building on what they’ve started. Well done to everyone involved!
