The lads are looking to end the season on a high after what’s been a tough season and a real rollercoaster from start to finish.

Through the highs, the lows and everything in between, they’ve stuck together — and now there’s one final game to go.

The Knights were back to their usual selves today!

What a pleasure it was to watch the lads doing what they do best playing as a team, enjoying their rugby and working for each other. It really does pay off, and today showed exactly what this group is capable of.

Some brilliant tries across the field, with Roby grabbing himself a hat-trick, Toby crossing twice, and tries from Tahi, Stevey, Jayden and Frazer. Mason added 3 goals, Roby added another, and George B finished it off with a beautiful drop goal putting right the wrong from the Legends game!

Every single lad out on that field played their part. Some stepped into new positions and absolutely smashed it, with Roary and Jacob just two of the lads who really stepped up.

47–6. A proper team performance.

Well done, lads. Keep this atmosphere, attitude and teamwork going because when you play for each other like that, this team can be unstoppable.

GETTING TO KNOW THE TEAM – TOMMY

Tommy joined the Knights this season and has slotted into the team perfectly.

From the minute he arrived, he’s put a shift in every single game. He works hard, gets stuck in and gives everything for the badge — and that effort has paid off for the lad.

His performances have shown exactly what he’s capable of and opened the door to the start of what could be a really exciting future in rugby league. He’s got the talent, the attitude and the work ethic to take his game as far as he wants.

Off the pitch, Tommy is an absolute pleasure to have around. Great banter, a great teammate and one of those lads who is simply good to coach and train.

Keep working, keep enjoying it and keep showing everyone what you can do, Tommy. This is only the beginning. ❤️🖤

GETTING TO KNOW THE TEAM – ROBY

Roby is that lad who never takes life too seriously… and we wouldn’t have him any other way.

He joined the Knights as a centre, then found himself on the wing and at full-back before moving into the front row, and now into the second row where he’s spent most of this season. Basically, put him wherever you need him and Roby will get on with the job.

One thing you can guarantee is that he’ll be laughing and smiling while he does it. Whether he’s acting the goat, winding someone up or asking the coaches “What time is it?” for the 47th time, he certainly keeps everyone on their toes.

He can be an absolute handful, but when it comes down to it, Roby will run hard, put his body on the line and do whatever job the team needs from him.

And that’s Roby. A big personality, a great teammate and a lad who somehow manages to make almost everyone he passes laugh just by being himself.

Never change, Roby. Your unique personality is exactly what makes you, you.

Getting to Know the Team – Stevey

Stevey may have only recently joined the Knights, but you’d think he’d been here from day one. He wears the badge with pride and gives absolutely everything every time he pulls on the shirt.

People talk about teams having special talent… then you watch Stevey play. A real force to be reckoned with, he attacks and defends like every play is the one that matters. Tough, fearless and always ready to put his body on the line for his teammates.

To most, he’s Stevey. To the Knights family, he’ll always be Splashy.

We’re lucky to have you, lad. The future is bright.

Getting to Know the Team – Dec

Don’t let the smile fool you… Dec is one tough competitor.

Week after week he turns up, puts the work in, and gives everything for his team. Training or match day, you know exactly what you’re getting from Dec 100% commitment, relentless effort and a player who never takes a backward step.

He’s fearless in defence, loves the physical side of the game and never hesitates to put his body on the line for his teammates. There’s a reason we say he’s got zero fear. If you’ve ever watched him carry the ball or fly into a tackle, you’ll know exactly what we mean.

Stay hungry, keep working hard and keep backing yourself the way you back your teammates. Once a Knight, Always a Knight.

GETTING TO KNOW THE TEAM – TAHI

From the very beginning, it was obvious Tahi was destined to play rugby league. As the tabloids are saying, “it’s in the genes.” But what they don’t see is the hard work that’s gone on behind the scenes.

They don’t see the extra effort, the countless hours spent listening, learning and constantly improving. Tahi has earned every opportunity through dedication, discipline and a willingness to get better every single day.

His rugby brain is years beyond his age. He reads the game brilliantly, leads by example and demands the very best from himself. As our captain, he sets the standards for everyone around him.

On the field you’ll see him running like lightning, putting his body on the line, and hitting tackles that stop players in their tracks. He never asks anyone to do something he wouldn’t do himself.

We’re incredibly proud of everything you’ve achieved so far, Tahi, but this is only the beginning. Keep believing in yourself, trust the process and never lose that hunger to improve.

The future is yours to write, mate, and we have no doubt you’ll achieve whatever you set your mind to.
