So that's all the equipment sold or donated, the gym cleared and the lights off for the last time.
When we decided to collaborate with a charity we really though we were doing the right thing... something for the community.
What actually happened was a year long back and forth trying to secure the building, so much time wasted when we could have been looking for our own property.
Six solid weeks trying to turn the building around, hard manual labour, our kids pretty much missing their Easter holidays to get the new room to a safe standard as after costs 70% of the money from the show last year was tied up with the charity so we had to make it work as that was the only large amount of money the club ever had.
Planned launches came and went, we were getting told different things from different people and we didn't have a clue what was going on at times, there was still no working toilets by the time we actually called it a day.
Still, we moved all of our equipment over and set it up ready to open. What we didn't fully realise is that all of our equipment that we personally funded, raised money for or was donated to the club was to be used by anyone that wanted to use it and we were going to have very little say in how it was all set up.
And for the first time in six weeks I stood in that building and cried and I knew we were done, therefore the club was done.
Which meant title fights were canelled and opportunities lost for our fighters, luckily we still had space to store our equipment back at the old gym so we ended up coming full circle back to our original home.
It wasn't an easy decision to make, probably one of the hardest we've ever had to make but the love for the sport and even our little club had literally been drained out of us.
We held on for so long in hopes that it would work, we really did but a year down the line we just couldn't continue the way it was.
So thanks for listening and a massive thank you to every fighter that represented us, everyone that contributed to the club in some way, everyone that paid to watch our kids fight and all the other gyms that had us over for sparring, extra training and on their shows... it was a blast!

With a heavy heart and great sadness we'll be closing up Bedford Street Boxing Club with immediate effect.
We've spent the past 9 months trying to make a lot of things work but it ended up being absolutely soul destroying.
Moving was meant to be our new start in our new home but it's turned out to be something that has caused us to fall out of love with the sport and coaching.
We've lost a lot calling it a day but all the time, labour and money isn't worth what we've dealt with for the past 8 weeks, it's been hard going for us personally and for the club.
Thank You to everyone who has helped us grow over the past four years, its been an absolute blast!
To everyone thats donated time, equipment and funds... It really was so very appreciated and it's made us what we were.
We may have been small but we had some talent through those doors over the years.
We have a small but full gym of equipment we need to sell as soon as possible too so if anyone needs anything please shout and if anyone has left anything behind... come get your s**t!

It's finally done, the new and updated timetable will be starting Monday 25th May!
Still looking to add a Bootcamp/Boxfit type class, possibly through the day too.
We'll be using the side door facing the Transport Hub just next door to Kev the Cobbler.
Temporary signage will be in place to save confusion.
As always the first session is free and there's a few different options for membership prices so drop us a message or just pop along at the time of the session that suits you.
