UCAS announces new initiatives to encourage students from low-income families to apply for university A new package of support targeting students who might disregard university as an option for them, because of initial financial barriers or because they believe they will not achieve the entry requirements published by universities, has been announced today by UCAS.

Please do not panic if you did not get the GCSE grades you were hoping for. There are plenty of alternatives options that can help you on to your chosen career path.

*Careers advisers/coaches are also there to support you in making choices.

What is Personal Guidance?
‘It is just the teacher at school tells you what you should do when you leave’

Actually personal guidance is a one-to-one interaction between yourself and a careers adviser/coach (you can always bring an adult or friend what ever makes you feel comfortable). This can take place face to face, over Zoom or a phone call.

You may have an idea on what you want to do so we can talk about how best to go about this. Or you might have no idea but need to start making a plan, I can help you do this.

Personal guidance is different for everyone depending on where you are on your life’s journey!

As it is that time of year where many young people are making difficult life choices or initial plans have changed or are you unsure of where to go or what to do next.
I am offering Personal Guidance to help you make those difficult choices. There is normally a small fee for this service.
