As we continue to enjoy our well earned break, the work in the back ground preparing for the start of the new season continues.

On September 26th we are taking a team of 6 junior boxers to Dumfries to take part in the Robert Burns Box Cup.

This is a competition over 2 days against boxers from all around the UK and overseas.

These box cups cost alot of money for travel and accomodation so we are launching a series of raffle cards and other fund raising activities to help give these young boxers a great opportunity to gain experience and hopefully return victorious.

Exciting changes for the new season.

Our long term lease is signed securing our tenure, which also means we can start on the renovations to create the perfect multi use space for us, Tynemouth Mencap and Ryan Jones (KollectiveKB) aswell as the local community.

Work has already started to change downstairs into the concept pictured before we move onto the rest.

Thompson Hall has always been part of the local community and we are keeping it that way to make a building local residents can be proud of and get use out of.

It will take time, but step by step we will get there.

A huge thanks to and his Kollective crew for making a start on the work.

Also massive thanks to Micky Baker for sourcing the materials. Top lad who always supports us.

Its great when boxers are able to get their own sponsors as its a massive help.

From tomorrow we are closed for our summer break until Monday 17th August.

Its been a long, tough, but positive season and we are all due a good rest.

Enjoy the time off, keep ticking over after you have given your body and mind time to repair.

Quiet class today and the final Marden Minis session until late August as we have our summer holidays.

Great work from 'Top Gun' Thomas and 'Rampaging' Reuben who are our trainers of the week.

Sessions have been great this season and every single child that has come through those doors have been a pleasure to work with.

What a team we have 👌

The sides of the building was overgrown with weeds and I was finding it impossible to keep on top of it meaning it became an eyesore.

Boxers, parents and members gathered together this morning and we smashed it.

Now we have a nice clean outdoor training area🥊
