Percy Bowling Club

It's a sad day for Percy Bowling Club after we have just heard of the passing of Gerry Roberts.

Gerry was a club committee member for a number of years, but had to stop playing back in 2023.

Our deepest condolences go out to his family and friends at this time.

What a great presentation/social night at the ‘dolphin’ pub in Tynemouth to end an amazing 2025 season for Percy BC! Well done to all our fabulous winners! It was a great turnout and I am so proud to be chair of such a fantastic friendly club!! Can’t wait till next year!! Happy Christmas and New Year to everyone from Percy BC # # #

Last night we had the final final, with Mick Brodie taking the victory in the Appleby Cup, our two bowl championship.

Congratulations to Mick and hard lines to Jeff.

Tonight, it's the big one!

To decide our champion of champions and to represent Percy in the TDBA West Russell Cup in 2026.

As the end of the outdoor season rapidly approaches, it's time for the club cup finals.

So it's congratulations to :-

Dom - winner of the Bolton Cup - the club handicap competition - and hard lines to Geoff
Tony - winner of the Brown Cup and hard lines to Joe
Bryan - winner of the Warkworth Cup - the men's championship - and hardlines to Stuart

Fabulous afternoon playing a lovely friendly, but of course competitive, match against NSWE for the Harold Mercer Clock Trophy!! Such a close game right down to the wire but Percy triumphed by only a couple of shots!! Thankyou to all who took part from both clubs and to Eric Mercer (nephew of the late Harry Mercer) who donated and presented the trophy!! Lovely cake a tea afterwards! 👏👏👏

Well done Amy for making it to the last 16 at National finals!! Percy super proud 👏👏👏

Another great night for Percy winning the ‘John Porter Cup’ against Forth by only 2 shots!!! Slight revenge match, as Forth pipped us to the post on Monday to win the Daglish league!! Well done Geoff Adams for a very successful season managing the Monday night league 👏👏👏 (cup win and second in division)!!

What a great few days at Leamington Spa for the National Finals … sadly our ladies lost their game against tough opponents but all good fun … and we got our medals!! 😁
