UNDER 9 GIRLS ANGELS

This weekend our Under 9 Girls travelled to Horsford, facing a new team in the league and a bit of the unknown.

The girls came flying out of the blocks, quickly taking control of the game and producing an excellent all-round performance. πŸ‘βš½οΈ

Polly-Anna had a brilliant day, keeping a clean sheet in goal before coming outfield and scoring her first league goal! 🧀⚽️

Eliza was outstanding in the tackle and made some excellent runs down the wing, putting our work in training into practice. πŸ’ͺ🏼

Lily worked tirelessly box-to-box on her first game of the season, while Imy turned defence into attack superbly and finished with a well-taken goal. ⚽️

Sofia grabbed two excellent goals, Harper got the goal her determination deserved, and Eva controlled the right wing, scoring a hat-trick in just 10 minutes before finishing the game with a spell in goal. πŸ”₯⚽️

A fantastic team performance – well done girls! πŸ’™

North Walsham Demons U12s played out an exciting 3–3 draw in a closely fought match.

The whole team showed great energy, determination and teamwork from the first whistle. The game swung from end to end, with neither side willing to give up, and the goals kept coming as both teams battled for the win.

The Demons showed plenty of attacking intent and battled hard throughout, while Bure Valley responded strongly every time North Walsham pushed forward. With the score level at 3–3, both teams continued to work hard right until the final whistle.

A brilliant advert for youth football, with 3 goals coming from the demons, plenty of effort and everyone giving everything for their team. πŸ‘βš½

UNDER 14 TOWN COACHES REPORT
North Walsham U14s beat Heacham Minors 4–2 in a really competitive game. Heacham were dangerous on the break all afternoon, but our defence were superb.

In goal, Daniel was dealing with everything particularly well, but picked up an injury during the first half and had to come off for treatment. Kyan stepped in brilliantly and kept things calm. Daniel recovered enough to return for the second half and finished the game strongly. In defence, Elijah, Woodsy, Jack PA, Kyan (before he had to go in goal), Sammy and Noah were brilliant - competitive, organised, and they handled everything thrown at them throughout the game. Top marks all round!

The midfield β€” Jack R, Wilf, Leo, Natan and Harrison β€” worked tirelessly, kept Heacham’s midfield in check and created chance after chance for the attackers (Luther, George, Louis and Riley) who caused problems all game with their speed, skill and sharp interplay.

We went ahead when George used his pace and close control to go 1v1, round the keeper and slot home confidently. Wilf made it 2–0 with a great strike that hit the post, bounced off their keeper and went in. The new, super fit Riley reacted quickest to a goalkeeper parry to make it 3–0. However, Heacham still looked lively and pulled a goal back with a good shot from distance that went in off the post.
Giving Kyan no chance.

The team galvanised themselves in the second half and Louis restored the 3-goal cushion with a very composed finish from George’s pull back after great play down the right. Heacham scored with about 7 minutes to go to set up a nervy ending, but the boys held firm. A strong team performance from every single player. Well done boys!!
