We play our final game of the Wynn Cup this week against Div 1 side Cowling

We suffered defeat last week’s fixture against top of the league Long Lee. Bowling first we got off to a tricky start, however good spells from Donnacha Washington & Hamza Ayub who both took 4-45 reduced Long Lee from 230-5 to 234 all out.

In reply we never quite got going and despite starts from Ibby Ali (33), Luke Watson (30) & Ed Washington (27), we were bowled out for 127.

Last week we faced Divison 1 side Riddlesden in the Wynn Cup. Batting first we scored 162/9, thanks in particular to an excellent 55* from Toby Meynell who was supported by Jim Tate (32) along with various other contributions. In reply Riddlesden chased down the target for the loss of only one wicket

This week we’re back in the league, with an away fixture against Long Lee 1st XI

Last week we faced local side Cononley 1st XI in a dramatic game. On a challenging batting wicket we got off to a great start to the ball with Charlie Andrews (4-22) in particular restricting Cononley initially to 13-4. Excellent spells from Hamza Ayub (3-27) & Toby Meynell (2-19) also resulted in Cononley being bowled out for 89. In reply we got off to a poor start at 28-5 before Toby Meynell and Jack Andrews put on 45 for the 6th wicket. The game however ended controversially as we fell 3 runs short of the target.

This week we’ve got a Wynn Cup fixture against Riddlesden at home again, all support is appreciated!

Last week our first XI lost by 4 wickets to Wilsden 1st XI. Batting first we struggled after a good opening partnership of 53 between Rick Clarkson (42) & Chris Kimberley (28). From there we were bowled out for 128 and despite Harry Andrews taking 3-33 and Hamza Ayub with 2-28, Wilsden got over the line for the loss of 6 wickets

This week we’re at home again in the Wynn Cup against Division 1 side Hepworth & Idle 1st XI

Last week was our first Wynn Cup fixture of the season and we achieved a fantastic 9 wicket win against Ingrow 1st XI. Donnacha Washington (3/26) bowled a fantastic opening spell, restricting Ingrow initially to 16/3, with all 3 wickets clean bowled. He was backed up well by Hamza Ayub (3/29) & Luke Watson (3/22) as Ingrow were bowled out for 148.

In response, a fantastic unbeaten 2nd wicket partnership of 138 between Chris Kimberley (54*) and Ibrar Ali (67*) saw us chase the target with 10 overs to spare!

This week we’re back at home against Wilsden 1st XI in the league.

Unfortunately we didn’t manage to get a game in last week, however a nice sunny week means we’ll be starting our season at Ingrow away tomorrow!

We kick off our season with a home fixture tomorrow against Gargrave 2nd XI. This season sees a lot of changes as we’re only fielding one side in division 2 and we’re looking to get off to a positive start. All support on the day is appreciated as always!
