Ever wondered why we do “good toes” and “naughty toes” in baby ballet? 🩰

It may look like a simple game, but it’s actually helping to strengthen little feet and ankles, develop coordination, and build the foundations needed for ballet technique as children grow.
This week, Miss Georgia brought in her pointe shoes for our Spinners classes to explore. The dancers were amazed at how hard and structured they felt! It was a wonderful opportunity to show them how the strength they’re developing now through fun activities like “good toes” and “naughty toes” helps prepare ballet dancers for more advanced skills in the future.
Sometimes the simplest exercises have the biggest purpose. 💜✨

🏋️‍♀️ Sports term at Tiny Toes Ballet! 🩰

To our little dancers, they’re busy being strong weightlifters and using their wonderful imaginations as they step into the world of sport. ✨

What they don’t realise is that they’re also developing important ballet and physical skills at the very same time! As they lift their “weights”, they’re practising coordination by moving their arms and legs together, strengthening their balance, and learning to bend their knees into a beautiful demi plié whilst maintaining control through their bodies.

Through imaginative play, our dancers are building the foundations for movement, confidence and coordination, all whilst having lots of fun! 💕✨

Some of our dancers begin their Tiny Toes journey as toddlers, holding a grown up’s hand as they take their very first ballet steps.

Over the years, they develop so much more than ballet skills. They grow in confidence, independence, creativity and coordination whilst forming wonderful friendships and creating magical memories along the way.

Watching our dancers progress from learning simple rolling ballet arms through nursery rhymes to performing beautiful port de bras in our Spinners classes is incredibly special. ✨

Tiny Toes Ballet isn’t just a class, it’s a journey that grows with your child every step of the way. 💕

🩰✨ Miss Debbie has finally taken a little time to recover after an incredible show last weekend! I just wanted to say a huge congratulations to every single one of our wonderful Tiny Toes Ballet dancers who took part. You all danced beautifully, worked so hard, and made me so proud. Watching your confidence, smiles, and love of dance shine on stage was truly magical. 🌟
