Northampton Racecourse 3 x 3 Players

BASKETBALL NORTHANTS LAUNCHES NN STREETBALLERZ

We are proud to announce that the Awards for All National Lottery Community Fund, who administer the Government's Million Hours funding, were so impressed with our new NNStreetballerz project application they fast tracked our award so we can start in August.

NN StreetBallerz will run alongside the "Carry a Basketball not a blade campaign" to provide an informal 'youth club' basketball style atmosphere on the Racecourse.

The first sessions will start on August 18th running until the beginning of September.

Sessions will be 2 hours of enjoyable basketball activity led by our Senior Basketball Coach/Mentors on the following dates:

Friday 18th, Mon 21st, Fri 25th, Mon 28th August...12 noon to 4pm with two two hour sessions 12 noon to 2pm & 2 to 4pm(dependent on numbers players may only be able to attend one of the daily sessions).

Players will need to sign up and complete a registration form.

Our NN Streetballerz staff will include:

Andre Arrisol(GB player and professional player at MK Breakers), Natasha Wesley (Northampton Basketball Club Coach & Northants League Secretary), Trey Hall ( Northampton Basketball Club Player & teacher at Abbeyfield School) and project director Anna Letts (qualified teacher & formerly Northampton Football Club Education project manager).

After school sessions will continue once a week when students return to school in September.

NN Streetballerz will target players who love to play at the Racecourse but at the moment are not in an affiliated basketball club.

Simply turn up on the Racecourse at least 15 minutes before the start time to register with Anna. The plan is to accommodate everybody however there maybe a limit on the numbers that can play on the four 3 x 3 courts allocated to Streetballerz (Two courts will still be available for free play).

Any players who are already in a Community or National League Club are welcome to join the voluntary team of basketball leaders.

Sessions will be free and the Cube Cruiser will be on hand providing food for everyone..

For secondary age players

It was a hugely successful NN3X3 tournament.

If not why not visit the Racecourse 3 x 3 courts over the summer. There is always a game on offer
