Ravensthorpe & Coton Village Hall (RVH) has been at the centre of the Community
for over 100 years. Charity; Number 278283. Decoration, lighting and insulation are all to a high standard. It is frequently used by the local community for many purposes. Licensed to sell alcohol. Conditions apply. It is also available for short term hire. (See rates below)

There is plenty of free parking on the road and in the village hall car park behind the building. The RVH includes;

Entrance Lobby

Excellent and well equipped Kitchen, with servery to the main hall. Disabled Toilet and Baby Changing facilities. Cloakrooms/Toilets for men and women. Comfortable seating and tables. The hall is light and airy with a sunny south-facing aspect and large patio to the rear with countryside views. Attractive wood flooring. Hi-Speed Broadband is available free to visitors. The main hall measures approximately 16m x 6m (96 Sqm). It can easily accommodate 120 people standing or 90 people seated. Regular Monthly Dates include;

Morning Coffee is served 2 x monthly on the 1st and 3rd Wednesday from 10.30 am until noon. Fresh coffee and tea along with delicious homemade cake etc
Everyone is welcome

Pegeen Flaherty’s life is turned upside down when a young man walks into her pub claiming that he’s killed his father. Instead of being shunned, the killer becomes a local hero and begins to win hearts, that is until a second man unexpectedly arrives on the scene…

Filmed live on stage at the National Theatre, Caitríona McLaughlin directs this darkly funny tale full to the brim with secrets.

The play sparked riots when it premiered in Dublin in 1907, in part because of its portrayal of virtuous women fawning over a criminal, but also for its sullying of the rural idyll image of Western Ireland.

Synge’s ‘succulent’ text is delivered in its original early 20th century melodic Hiberno-English dialect which captures the lyricism of the language but for clarity we will screen with sub-titles.
