Gary’s Journey
Just wanted to say a big well done to Gary, the run up to Christmas and new year he had a goal set in mind, to put his all into health and fitness for a 13 week period to see how far it would take him.
Being 56 years old, he thought it would hold him back…
But we doubled down on eating more food to build more muscle, training with intent, and being driven towards making progress.
We used a mix of strength training and boxing training. And with Gary’s weight rarely changing, he has changed his body fat levels and bought his muscle mass up giving him more confidence in his body.
An excellent way to start 2024👏

Are your goals in line with what you actually want?
It’s a good question that I ask people sometimes
Because it’s powerful, and it will make you realise that you might be chasing the wrong outcome
Personally for me, I don’t care what anyone thinks of the way I look. Because my nan always tells me I’m handsome…
But exercise for me is not about anyone else, it’s about feeling great and being able to function much better.
My nutrition for me is just about feeling good, enjoying myself, and having plenty of energy whilst maintaining results
I know it’s easier said than done but I do put a focus on my lifestyle because it makes a huge difference
It allows me to be the person I am, because if I can’t be fully functional, have my full energy, then I will just come across as miserable, tired, and a bit of a dick.
So if you are doing a crash diet, or s**t you don’t enjoy just to get a result that won’t last, then think it back over.
Because if you want to be happy and spend loads of time with your family and enjoy it (for example) then not exercising, and not focusing on YOU, will not aid in that.
So ask yourself
Do my goals align with what I actually want?

Confidence is like a skill, you have to practice to get better at it.
And comparison is the thief of joy, so don’t worry about someone else’s journey, just focus on yours!

I see a lot of people ‘waiting’ to gain confidence…
Which is just not possible, it’s like hoping to wake up as a pro footballer with out playing football at all.
Confidence comes from doing something and gaining the right skills and competence for it, you have confidence in certain areas of your life because you know what you are doing.
Same with the gym, the people that know what they are doing, once didn’t have a clue just like you.
Same with me, when I first started gym, I was clueless.
So don’t be afraid to step out the comfort zone, because that’s how you get confidence!

Let me help you out…
You are worried people judge you in the gym, so maybe you:
-Don’t really know what you are doing
-Scared you will injure yourself if you do an exercise wrong
-Wing all of your sessions without a plan in place
-Are nervous to ask for help
-Don’t know where to start
If you apply to any of them, then DM me ‘PROGRAMME’ and I will ping over a free beginner-programme to get you started!
