Medal Monday!
Yesterday was the Nottingham 70.3
Morning was cold! So cold that they decided to reduce the swim from 1900m to 1500m. Swimming in the freezing water wasn't easy!
Unfortunately the rest of my race didn't go to plan. I'm still struggling with my knee after the London Marathon so I knew the run was going to be hard and slow but the bike ride was awful too. My quads were really tight and any small hill killed me. I guess my body was still recovering from the marathon! The freezing cold, wind and rain didn't help either!
But I finished!! Massive thank you to all the ladies that pushed me all the way including those that volunteered and made the aid station the highlight of the run! I wouldn't have done it without you ladies 😊

It's that time of the year again!! 🥳
First open water swimming of the season. Water was a lovely 15C, which is a temperature that when you go in you start questioning your life choices but once you start swimming everything is fine 😅
Good to know that my wetsuit still fits too! 🤣

I forgot to say so many things on my last post!
First that the morning started with my amazing sister running her first ever race and her first ever 10k in the and getting an amazing time! Well done sis!!!
And also a massive thank you to all my family who spent the day tracking me and sending me encouragement messages and to my partner that when I told him I was struggling with the knee he called me to push me and telling me those words that I needed to hear. I love you!!
And of course to a lot of people from my village Maidford and from that have donated to my charity and supported me all the way!!

I don't know where to start.
3 years ago someone at (I don't remember who!) shared that she had got her London Classics Medal. At that moment I had no idea what that was (Ride London + Swim Serpentine + London Marathon) but I loved the medal and I thought "I want that!". I could barely run 5k back then.
Fast forward to yesterday I run my first ever marathon at the and collected my precious London Classics Medal!!!
Things didn't go to plan. I was hoping for a 5:30 finish and everything was going great for the first half. Halfway my feet started to hurt a lot so I slowed down a bit but at mile 19 my knee completely gave up. From that moment it was just a fight against my body. I had to walk/limp the rest of the way in unbearable pain and even shouting of pain from time to time.
But I did it!!! I pushed myself to the end and finished the London Marathon!!!!
Massive thank you to and all the ladies at also thank you to the money we raised together will make a massive difference for terminally ill children and their families.
ET EGO LONDINIUM VICI!

Slow 35 minutes run this morning in Hyde Park and then out to collect my bib for the
It was huge!!! So busy and so many people!! And my bib has the London classics stamp on it!! Oh, I also found myself on the wall!
So looking forward to the start line. Thank you to make it possible, for all the coaching and constant support and for making sure those muscles keep growing! 💪
