Well done to all of our dancers who took part in the St Patrick’s Day performance!

For some of our dancers this was their first big performance, and they really smashed it! I could see the confidence growing as the performance went on ✨

🌟 Meet the Teacher 🌟

As this year marks the 5th anniversary of SLT Academy of Irish Dance, I thought it was the perfect time to introduce myself properly.

Hi, I’m Stephanie Toon, the proud founder and teacher at SLT Academy of Irish Dance.

I’ve been dancing since I was 5 years old and have a lifelong passion for Irish dance. My journey has taken me all the way to the stage as a professional performer with Rhythm of the Dance, touring internationally.

I competed under CLRG with the amazing teachers at the Clifford Academy, taking part in all major championships including, World Championships.

As a fully qualified TCRG, I’m passionate about helping every dancer at SLT Academy build strong technique, confidence, and a love for dance — whether they’re dancing for competitions, performances, or simply for enjoyment.

Alongside this, I hold a Diploma in Performing Arts, which allows me to bring performance skills, musicality, and stage experience into every class.

Seeing our dancers grow each year has been one of the most rewarding parts of my journey.
I’m so proud of our dancers and excited for everything still to come.

✨ Last feis of the year – CNRG Christmas Feis! 🎄

What an incredible day filled with amazing results and so many proud moments. We had some first-timers who absolutely smashed it at their very first feis – you all did brilliantly! 💚

We celebrated podium places, trophies and grade movements across the board – such a testament to everyone’s hard work. 🙌

A huge thank you to the The Davey Academy of Irish Dance for hosting such a lovely feis.

And an extra big thank you to the wonderful parents and grandparents who helped me with my flat tyre… always a bit of car drama! 🫣🚗

I am so proud of every single dancer. What a fantastic way to finish the year. Keep up the hard work — 2026, we’re ready for you! 💪💚💫
