The new Thorowgood T9 saddle has just landed, here’s what they say about the double flap jump saddle :

A new generation saddle as the replacement for the popular T8 Jump saddle, this forward cut light weight jump saddle that has comfort for both horse and rider central to its design and made especially for riders with low saddle purchase budgets without losing the competitive edge.
Key design elements include the fact that the tree and points are designed to support the front of the panel to improve shoulder movement using a slim front gusset allowing space for the scapula to move without hindrance.
Built with a carefully selected soft leather on all the
'contact points': seat, skirt and knee pads
The flap is a typical forward cut jump style to accommodate a shorter leg position so that the rider can sit light and move freely while having the benefit of the knee roll support.
• The secure seat with a low cantle doesn't restrict the rider during the jumping phase after takeoff, but allows you to shift your weight and maintain your centre of balance over the fence
• Adjustable and changeable Velcro knee block to fine tune the leg support required to make those individual adjustments to
accommodate rider leg length when jumping
• Available in one panel profile (standard) but thanks to the Sima Tree R-Bar this saddle can be adjusted to suit high wither and standard wither t**s on most horses.
