What a fantastic morning full of achievements, milestones, and smiles all round 🌟

Our Return To Running group smashed another huge milestone today by running continuously for 30 minutes, such an incredible achievement and a real reflection of all the hard work and consistency you've put in 👏

With the temperatures rising, our Keep Me Going runners headed for the shade and enjoyed a lovely 5km run around the trails of Delapré, while our group also made the most of the beautiful paths and woodland routes around the Abbey 🚶‍♀️🏃‍♂️🌳

Special shoutouts go to Chris, who recently celebrated a very special birthday 🎉, and to both of our wonderful UoN volunteer student helpers who have recently secured employment. We’re incredibly proud of you both and wish you every success in your new roles 👏

A huge Abbey Joggers welcome to Terri and Victoria, who joined us for the very first time today. It was lovely to have you with us, and we hope to see you again soon 😊

Of course, no Thursday morning would be complete without staying behind afterwards for plenty of laughs, chats, and refreshments at ☕💬

Have a wonderful week everyone! 💛

What an incredible effort from everyone at today’s sessions! 🎉👏

Our walking group enjoyed the beautiful tracks and trails around Delapré Abbey, making the most of the fresh air, great company, and positive energy along the way.

Meanwhile, our Return to Running group smashed another huge milestone by running continuously for 25 minutes, a fantastic achievement and a real reflection of how far you’ve all come. Your progress, determination, and support for one another has been amazing to see. You’re doing brilliantly! 💪🏃

Our speedwork session brought plenty of energy, laughter, and teamwork this week with a fun “school games” theme. We revisited classics like Stuck in the Mud, Raid the Goal, and Cones & Domes, before finishing with continuous relays and some tennis ball challenges. It may have looked like games, but there was some seriously hard work going on with lots of quick sprint efforts and fast reactions throughout! ⚡🎾

The encouragement, smiles, and team spirit across every session were fantastic today. Well done everyone, keep showing up, supporting each other, and enjoying the journey! 🌟

This week (May 11th–17th) is Mental Health Awareness Week, and at Abbey Joggers - Northampton we’ve been celebrating the positive impact that movement, connection, and conversation can have on our wellbeing.

What started as a running club has grown into a wonderfully supportive community, where people come together to exercise, chat, laugh, and support one another. 💙

This week has already been packed with activities:

Monday – Pilates
Tuesday – Padel
Wednesday – Strength & Conditioning, plus Race 2 of the Northants 5k Series
Thursday – Club Walk / Runs & Coffee Chats

And there’s still plenty of time to squeeze in another activity or two!

A huge well done to our Return to Running group, who achieved an amazing 20 minutes of continuous running 👏
Our walking group enjoyed an impressive 6km walk, while our ever-chatty Keep Me Going group took on the canals and paths around Northampton together.

Mental Health Awareness Week is a great reminder that looking after ourselves doesn’t always have to mean big changes — sometimes it’s simply getting outside, moving a little more, sharing a conversation, or taking a moment to pause and breathe.

Whether you run, walk, stretch, chat over coffee, or just take some time for yourself today, every little bit counts. 💙

Thanks to UoN, Northamptonshire Sport, Padel Social House, The Orangery at Delapré Abbey and everyone else thats helped bring our community together this week and helped with keeping the conversation flowing.

This week (May 11th–17th) is Mental Health Awareness Week, and we want to celebrate the amazing benefits of running, walking, connecting, and simply talking together.

To support this, all sessions on May 14th will be completely FREE.

Even if you can’t make a run or walk session — or if you haven’t joined us for a while, please still pop by for a cuppa and a catch-up. It’s open to our whole community, and it would be lovely to see you. Feel free to bring a friend along too!

This year’s and theme is “Take Action”, focusing on the small positive steps we can all take to support our mental wellbeing and stay active through the simple things in life. We’ve also got a fun bingo card packed with ideas to help get you started, so let us know how you get on! 😊❤️💛💙

Once again, our wonderful runners showed what community is all about, coming together to help others. We’re so grateful to our running community and to Shop Zero for your ongoing support and commitment to our local community.

A huge ‘Thank You’ once more to Abbey Joggers - Northampton for their kind donation of essential cleaning supplies. What a generous group of people you are 🙏

These types of products are so important to families and Young People leaving care when their funds are already pushed to the limits.

These items, along with our food donations will be heading straight out to local people in our community.

Our Return To Running group absolutely smashed it again, 16 minutes of running in total! Such a fantastic achievement, and every single one of you should feel proud 👏

Meanwhile, our walking group had the perfect plan, enjoying a relaxed stroll around the lake at Delapre, topped off with a well-earned cuppa and a lovely catch up. Sometimes that balance of movement and connection is exactly what we need.

Our Keep Me Going group was out on the trails around Delapre and Hardingstone, we definitely had to work hard to stay out of the sun, but as always, we did it together. There was plenty of laughter, encouragement, and great conversation along the way, making every step that bit easier.

So good to see everyone supporting each other and keeping the energy high, already looking forward to the next one! 💛

Huge well done to all our amazing runners who took part in the first event of the Northants 5K Series at Fineshade Woods yesterday! It was such a brilliant day, great atmosphere, loads of familiar faces, and fantastic to see so many local runners and clubs coming together.

And yes… we know it was the same day as the London Marathon 👀, but while we stuck to a “modest” 5K each, between us we definitely clocked up well over a marathon… so we’re counting it! 😄

A massive shoutout to Northamptonshire Sport for putting on such a well organised and enjoyable event, it’s truly appreciated by everyone involved.

We can’t wait to do it all again at West Lodge Farm… see you there! 🏃‍♂️✨

It may have started off a bit chilly this morning, but our runners quickly warmed up and brought fantastic energy to the session.

Our new Return to Running group completed a total of 16 minutes of running—an excellent effort and a great start. The Keep Me Going group focused on refining arm and foot technique before taking on their Flying 30s speed session, finishing strong with some fun (and famously entertaining!) short sprints in the tennis ball caterpillar.

Meanwhile, our walking group enjoyed a relaxed and refreshing stroll around Delapre Abbey and Delapre Forest, soaking in the scenery and atmosphere.

To round things off, everyone came together at The Orangery at Delapré Abbey for some well-earned refreshments and great company.

Brilliant work all around—well done, everyone!
