🌿 Welcome to The Ripple Collective

There are so many books that tell us what to expect during pregnancy.

This isn't one of them.

The Ripple Collective was created because, over the years, I've noticed something.

Every family arrives carrying questions they rarely say out loud.

"Will I be enough?"

"Am I the only one who feels like this?"

"Why does everyone else seem so confident?"

The truth is...

They aren't the only one.

And neither are you.

So I've created a place where those quiet thoughts have somewhere to belong.

Each week you'll hear from five different voices.

🌿 Rosie shares what's on her heart.

☕ Tom reminds us that partners have questions too.

💛 Claire Says... offers gentle reflections gathered from 25 years of walking alongside families.

🌸 Friday Feelings gives us permission to pause.

💧 One Small Ripple invites one tiny action that might make today feel just a little lighter.

This isn't about being the perfect parent.

It's about discovering that you don't have to be.

If, somewhere along the way, you find yourself reading these pages and thinking...

"That's exactly how I feel."

..then The Ripple Collective is doing exactly what it was created to do.

Welcome.

We're so glad you're here.

💚 Claire

🌿 Friday Feelings

Some weeks feel full of excitement.

Some feel full of questions.

Some feel like you're counting the days...

Others feel like you're simply trying to get through today.

Whatever this week has looked like for you...

I hope you know this.

You're doing better than you think.

You don't have to have everything figured out.

You don't have to feel positive every minute.

You don't have to compare your journey with anyone else's.

Growing a baby isn't about getting everything right.

It's about showing up, one day at a time.

Be kind to yourself this weekend.

You've earned it.

Until next Friday...

Be gentle with yourself.

💛 Claire

🌿 Learning to Trust

"Trust doesn't arrive all at once.
It grows... one breath, one class and one small ripple at a time."

Dear Diary...
Today I noticed something.
I didn't sit in the car wondering if I should come.
I didn't feel nervous walking through the door.
I knew exactly where my favourite spot was.
I smiled at familiar faces.
I rolled out my mat.
And before class had even begun...
I realised I felt at home.
Claire asked us to close our eyes and simply notice our breathing.
No special technique.
No trying to do it "right."
Just breathing.
At first it felt strange.
Then I realised...
I've been breathing for my whole life.
But today was the first time I truly noticed it.
Each breath felt like a quiet conversation.
One with myself.
One with my baby.
For a few peaceful moments, nothing else mattered.
No lists.
No worries.
No pressure.
Just...
In.
Out.
Maybe confidence doesn't arrive in one big moment.
Maybe it begins with something as simple as one slow breath.
Love,
Rosie 🤍

🌿 Claire Says...
One of the first things we learn together isn't how to control our breathing.
It's how to notice it.
Your breath is always with you.
It doesn't ask you to be perfect.
It doesn't expect anything from you.
It simply offers you a place to return whenever life feels busy, uncertain or overwhelming.
Pregnancy is full of moments you can't control.
Your breath can become an anchor through them all.
Claire x

💛 One Small Ripple
Today, find just one quiet minute.
Place one hand on your heart.
One hand on your bump.
Take three slow, gentle breaths.
Don't try to change anything.
Just notice.
Notice your body.
Notice your baby.
Notice yourself.
Sometimes the smallest pause creates the biggest ripple.

Dear Diary...

Today, Claire said something that stayed with me all the way home.

"Your body already knows how to grow your baby."

I don't know why...

..but hearing those words made me stop for a moment.

I've spent months reading books.

Listening to podcasts.

Watching videos.

Wondering if I'm doing everything "right."

Trying so hard to prepare for birth...

..that I'd forgotten something really important.

My body has been quietly preparing all along.

Every heartbeat.

Every tiny kick.

Every stretch.

Every change.

It's already doing something incredible.

Maybe trusting birth doesn't begin on the day labour starts.

Maybe it begins here...

By learning to trust myself.

Love,

Rosie 🤍

There is so much information available during pregnancy that it's easy to feel overwhelmed.

At Ripple Effect Yoga, we gently remind you of something you've perhaps forgotten...

Your body isn't starting from scratch.

It's already working with extraordinary wisdom.

Our classes aren't about having all the answers.

They're about helping you find confidence in your own.

One breath.

One movement.

One small ripple at a time.

🌿 The beginning of my journey – Finding My Feet

Dear Diary...

When I walked through that studio door, I thought I was coming to prepare for birth.

Looking back...

I was preparing for so much more.

The initial part of this journey wasn't about learning the perfect yoga pose.

It wasn't about getting everything right.

It wasn't even about becoming fearless.

It was about finding a place where I could simply be.

A place where I didn't have to pretend I had all the answers.

Where I could breathe.

Where I could laugh.

Where I could slow down.

Where I could begin to trust that I was already enough.

I nearly turned the car around on my first day.

Now I can't imagine missing a class.

Funny how life changes...

One small step at a time.

Love,

Rosie 🤍

🌿 Claire Says...

When women join my classes, they often tell me they came because they wanted to prepare for birth.

And of course we do that.

We explore movement, breathing, relaxation, biomechanics, birth preparation and practical techniques.

But something else happens too.

Week by week, they begin to feel more confident.

More connected to their babies.

More trusting of themselves.

The greatest transformation isn't always physical.

Sometimes it's simply discovering that you already have everything you need within you.

And that's where every ripple begins.

Claire x

💛 One Small Ripple

Take a moment today to think back over the past few weeks.

What's one thing you've learned about yourself during your pregnancy?

Maybe you've become kinder to yourself.

Maybe you've learnt to ask for help.

Maybe you've discovered that slowing down isn't giving up.

Whatever it is...

Hold onto it.

It's part of your story now.

Small Moments. Big Ripples.

Keep it Simple.

Dear Diary...

Today, during our relaxation, Claire invited us to imagine meeting our babies.

Not the birth.

Not the hospital.

Not the endless lists of things still to organise.

Just...

..that first moment.

I closed my eyes.

At first, nothing happened.

Then, little by little...

I imagined tiny fingers wrapping around mine.

I imagined the warmth of a little body curled against my chest.

I imagined hearing that very first cry.

And suddenly, everything else faded away.

All the worries.

All the planning.

All the questions.

For just a few moments...

It was only me and my baby.

I realised something today.

I've spent so much time preparing for birth...

I'd forgotten to prepare for meeting you.

Maybe that's what all of this is really about.

Not getting every detail perfect.

Not having all the answers.

Just opening my heart to the little person I've already fallen in love with.

Love,

Rosie 🤍

One of the most powerful things we do in class isn't a yoga pose.

It's taking time to pause and connect with the little life growing inside you.

Visualisation isn't about imagining the "perfect birth."

It's about creating space to build trust, confidence and connection.

Sometimes, all it takes is a few quiet moments to remember why you're doing all of this.

You're not just preparing to give birth.

You're preparing to meet someone who will change your life forever.

💛 A Letter from Claire

There is something I notice almost every time someone joins their very first class.

They arrive with questions.

Sometimes they say them out loud...

"I've never done yoga before."

"I'm not very flexible."

"I wasn't sure whether to come."

Sometimes they don't say anything at all.

But over the years, I've learnt that many women arrive carrying the very same thoughts.

They're wondering if they'll fit in.

They're hoping they'll feel comfortable.

They're quietly hoping they've found somewhere they can simply be themselves.

The lovely thing is...

By the end of that first class, something has usually changed.

Not because they've mastered a yoga pose.

Not because all of their worries have disappeared.

But because they've realised they weren't the only one feeling that way.

The room feels a little warmer.

The conversations come more easily.

The shoulders begin to soften.

And somewhere between that first breath and the final relaxation, they begin to believe...

"Maybe I can do this."

If you're reading this and you've been wondering whether pregnancy yoga is for you, I'd love you to know this...

You don't need any experience.

You don't need to be flexible.

You don't need to arrive feeling confident.

You simply need to come exactly as you are.

I'll be here to welcome you.

With love,

Claire 💛

🌿 A Ripple to Take With You

The hardest step isn't the yoga.

It's believing you belong.

Today I treated my youngest ever client, at just 5 weeks old this little fella was brought in by his mum with severe reflux.

Caesarean section birth can affect the mechanical forces experienced by a baby during birth. During a vaginal birth, the baby’s skull undergoes compression and moulding as it passes through the birth canal. In a C-section, the baby does not experience these same forces. This can result in Mild asymmetries in head shape, Restricted neck movement or preference to turn the head one way, Feeding difficulties (if associated with neck or jaw tension) and Tension patterns throughout the body.

After assessing him using surrogate muscle testing through mum, I found that he had parietal bone (bones at the top of his skull) misalignment, left sided sphenoid bone misalignment and frontal bone misalignment.

You’ll see the involuntary movement to the left when I start the cranial therapy and he instantly settles once I address the frontal and occipital cranial structures and begin the realignment.

His mum messaged me a few hours later saying how relaxed he was after his feed this afternoon! 🥹😍

I can’t wait to follow this gorgeous little chaps progress and I’m hopeful and confident his symptoms will subside.

I also did anmo fu abdominal massage as he had a dysfunctional icv valve (the valve that connects the small and large intestine) as well as some sacral therapy.

I absolutely loved treating him. Cranial therapy should be an absolute must for all newborn babies, especially those born by c-section.

🌿 Reflections

This week we met Rosie.

She nearly didn't send her enquiry.

She wondered if pregnancy yoga was really for her.

She wasn't sure whether she'd fit in.

She worried that everyone else would know what they were doing.

But she took that first step anyway.

Sometimes courage doesn't look like confidence.

Sometimes...

it simply looks like pressing "Send."

💛

If you've been thinking about getting in touch, perhaps this is your gentle reminder that every journey begins somewhere.

One message.

One conversation.

One small step.

Sometimes that's all it takes for everything to begin to change.

I'd love to hear from you if you're wondering whether Ripple Effect is the right place for your pregnancy journey.

Wishing you a peaceful day.

Courage isn't always loud.

Sometimes...

it's simply the quiet decision to begin.

Dear Diary...

Today I realised...

I'm not doing this alone.

When I first came to class, I thought everyone else would have it all figured out.

I imagined I'd be the only one with questions.

The only one feeling nervous.

The only one wondering if I was doing enough.

But today, while we chatted over a cup of tea after class, I realised something...

We all have the same hopes.

The same worries.

The same little voice that wonders if we're ready.

And somehow, hearing someone else say exactly what I'd been thinking made everything feel a little lighter.

I came for the yoga...

But I think I've stayed because of the people.

Love,

Rosie 🤍

Pregnancy can sometimes feel surprisingly lonely.

Even when you're surrounded by people who love you.

One of the most beautiful things about a pregnancy yoga class isn't just the movement...

It's discovering that you're walking this journey alongside other women who understand exactly how it feels.

Sometimes all it takes is one conversation.

One smile.

One cup of tea after class.

And suddenly...

You don't feel quite so alone anymore.
