As I have been saying I know my biggest issue is I like to pile pressure on myself š¤¦āāļø
So the goal for this competition wasnāt to hit PBs it was to have a good day and ideally go 9/9
Build confidence and build the total to hopefully win š
Squat missed my first and second lifts on DEPTH FFS!
Well there is no amount of pressure to know you HAVE to get this lift in or you will bomb š£ (which basically means you donāt total so your score doesnāt count) the rules are you have to get at least 1 of each lift.
Finished on 190kg which I would normally have been disappointed by but again the plan was to get the total and build it.
Thoughts of why it was high when I worked so hard on depth in training⦠johns is ICE š§ COLDā¦. In thatās hall it was bloody roasting which meant I was swollen! And suit felt tighter. š¤·š¼āāļøš„µ

I was over the moon with⦠itās the most consistent I have benched in a long time at a competition.
I have been nursing inflammation in both shoulders and elbows with nerve damage to my left elbow so hit this and get all 3 was a VIBE!

the best deadlifts I have ever done⦠so quick, technique was good.
I finished the day on 480kg which is my equal best total at 69kg
However 7/9 is good for me š«¢
It felt amazing knowing I had more in the tank on all 3 lifts.

Honestly this feel so good working so hard for something, how demotivated I felt at Christmas I very nearly throw in the towel!
Bloody glad I didnāt now!

U69kg Equipped British Champion š¬š§š„
Itās taken me long enough to put it all together on the day.
What a bloody brilliant day I had so much fun.
Squats after everything I about pressure well I pilled it on⦠I missed my first 2 and was terrified I was going to be in the bomb brigade but got my last THANK GOD!
Some of the best benching and deadlifting I have ever done on the platform EVER!
It was calm and consistent and most importantly I had a ball!
Competing at 5 national competitions and never winning won this is a bloody highlight and an honour š
Will do a full competition breakdown later but I have 100s of messages to reply to I am so grateful to everyone who has sent me a message š¬š§š©µ
My heart feels so full, my body feels bull dozed (thatās what happens when you actually perform) š«¢
Oh and I got drugs tested I feel like I made it I am officially professional šš š¦

What a feeling š¬š§š„
I went from feeling uncomfortable in my own skinā¦
To building habits that actually serve me when motivation dropsā¦
To looking in the mirror and genuinely loving the body Iāve built.
Over the last few years I have added more and more structureā¦
Structure with training.
Structure with food.
Structure with routines
The structure matters.
In 3 years, Iāve lost over 10kg and kept it off.
I have progressed
Iāve built muscle, lost body fat, and created a physique that looks like I train. Iām toned. Iām strong.
I know my body isnāt for everyone but bloody hell I have spent time, energy to create something I loveā¦
If youāre uncomfortable in your own skin right now hiding away, avoiding mirrors, living in oversized clothes

The work you put in now will determine if youāre still hiding come summer.
Building a body youāre proud of isnāt a 12-week thing. Itās an all-year thing. An every-day thing.

Before I started the program, I often felt tired, low in energy and not very confident in myself. I felt really busy, I thought I have two kids I donāt have time for me. I didnāt always prioritise my own wellbeing. I felt a bit stuck and unsure where to start when it came to exercise and looking after my body and mindset.
I felt inadequate when with friends and at work. I wanted to stay hidden if possible, I wasnāt proud of how I looked and it affected how I showed up.
I first seen the social media posts through a friend. I felt the programme looked realistic. I wanted something that I thought would really last.
Now my life feels much more balanced and positive. I have more energy, feel more capable and Iām much kinder to myself. I plan my week to make time for me and I donāt feel guilty I feel like I deserve the time for me. I have healthy habits that actually fit into my life.
I feel stronger, calmer and more in control. Movement and good food feel like natural parts of my routine. I donāt stress about starting again next week or next month because Iām already doing the things to see the change weekly.
I feel more confident and comfortable in my own skin. I back myself more and I feel prouder of what my body can do.
The changes in my confidence have helped me set boundaries to protect my time and energy for me so I work on myself.
My biggest win has been rebuilding my confidence and belief in myself physically and mentally.
Iāve seen include feeling stronger, fitter, healthier and more consistent. But the mindset shifts have been just as powerful as the physical results.
I would recommend the programme to anyone who wants to feel stronger, healthier and more confident especially if theyāve struggled with confidence.
When you give yourself a little time, energy and space you can really turn your whole life around and show up better for your familyā¦

Every time I get on the scales on a Sunday morning and my reaction
Every time I throw my bikini on and do my check in
Every time I go and train
Every time I prep my food
He is watching everythingā¦
We are stuck in a really crazy world where our children are growing up with tablets, phones and crazy messages on social media.
So what is your message to your kids?
When I step on the scales he always jumps on after⦠we ask him āhow strong are you todayā
When he runs down the garden after me to do my check in, we flex together.
When I am going to train in the gym I ask him if he wants to join me and we train together.
Every time I prep my food he sits on the side and helps me.
We all want to be the best role model possible. I know so many of our clients say the same.
But really do your actions align with the person you want to be let alone the person you wasnāt your children to see?
If they donāt what are you doing about it?
How are you framing it?
Itās okay that you donāt get it right all the time, I donāt either.
But I want to show him how to be strong and confident!
And one day, that becomes his normal.
