A huge congratulations to all the Fireball sailors who took on Hayling Island's famously testing conditions this weekend.
We're especially pleased to see our sails taking the top three spots overall:
🥇 DJ Edwards & Vyv Townend
🥈 Paul Cullen & Simon Forbes
🥉 Dave Wade & Iain Blake
A special mention to DJ and Vyv, who recently switched to a new set of our Fireball sails featuring the latest design developments we've been working on. After winning every race they sailed, we're delighted to see the hard work paying off and even more delighted to hear how happy they are with the new setup.
Well sailed to everyone who made it through a weekend of big breeze, big waves and plenty of stories to tell.

A fantastic weekend on the water for Keith Louden and Mateo Louden, taking 5 wins from 6 races in their GP14. 🏆
With some challenging conditions throughout the event, the pair put together an impressive and consistent series to come out on top.
We're delighted to see them enjoying success with their P&B sails and wish them the very best for the rest of the season.

The Merlin class visited Starcross YC last weekend in conditions that tested everyone. A heatwave and barely enough wind to fill a sail made for a long, patient couple of days on the water where reading the shifts counted for far more than boat speed.
Chris Gould and Sophie Mackley took the overall win from Caroline Gould and Pete Nicholson in second, with Mike and Jane Calvert third. Both Gould/Mackley and Gould/Nicholson were on P&B sails, as were race team members Tom Lonsdale and Emily Batterton who finished sixth. In those kinds of conditions, the sailing has to do the heavy lifting.
Congratulations to all.

Oliver Goodhead and Katie Keith took all three races at the GP14 Travellers Series at Tamworth Sailing Club earlier this month, racing in what sounded like a better day on the water than the forecast promised.
Three from three in a mixed travelling fleet is a solid afternoon's work. Oliver and Katie were racing on P&B sails. Congratulations to both and all that competed.

The 505 Euro Cup at Fraglia Vela Riva on Lake Garda last week was not the Garda most people sign up for. Cold temperatures, persistent rain and a northerly for the majority of the event. Taking the small windows of opportunity that the sun gave, they still managed eight races across the three days with 43 boats from 10 nations, which given the forecast was no small achievement.
Paul Brotherton and James Fawcett took the overall from Mike Sims and Carl Gibbon in second, and Mike Holt and Rob Woelfel third. Both Sims/Gibbon and Holt/Woelfel were on P&B sails. There has been a fair amount of development put into the 505 range and it is good to see it carrying through at this level of an international fleet, with the Worlds now just six weeks away.
Congratulations to everyone who made that journey, whether racing or just there to support.

Stuart and Nick Hydon took a clean sweep at the Lark Traveller's Series at Frensham Pond SC, winning all three races in what sounded like a tricky day on the water with the breeze coming and going throughout.
Frensham is a notoriously shifty venue and three wins from three against a competitive fleet takes some doing. Stuart and Nick were racing on P&B sails, which is always good to see. Congratulations to them both and all that raced.

Thirty helms made the trip to Grafham Water last weekend for the Phantom Inlands, and eight races later Sam Coxon had the event comfortably in hand. A deserved win from a sailor who was consistently at or near the front all weekend.
What caught our eye was the rest of the top five. Jon Rickard, Will Gulliver, Adam Froggatt and Richard Nurse filled out positions two through five, all racing on P&B sails. Hard to argue with that as a return across a fleet that size. Well done to all that sailed.
The class heads to Tenby SC in September for the P&B Nationals. That's an event worth putting in the diary.

The P&B Merlin Rocket Women's Championship wrapped up at Northampton SC last weekend in better conditions than anyone had dared hope for. A training day on Saturday led by Sophie Mackley, Chris Gould, Nigel Wakefield and Johnny Allen set the tone, and Sunday's five-race series was close throughout.
Caroline Gould and Rachael Gray sailed a composed and consistent series to take the title, with Sophie Mackley and Chris Gould finishing second after a tight points battle. Rebecca Videlo and Lorna Glen rounded out the podium in third.
As title sponsors we're delighted to have supported the event, and equally proud that the top two on the water were using P&B sails. Research and continued testing has pushed development and improved our Merlin sails over the past few seasons – it's great to see this investment paying off with crews maximising their performance with P&B sails at events.
Well sailed by everyone who raced. See you at Hayling.

Fifteen sprint races, sunshine and plenty of tired sailors by Sunday afternoon at the Scorpion Sprint Championship at Staunton Harold.
Big congratulations to Imogen & Dave Wade on taking the overall win after a seriously consistent weekend. A mix of short sprint races and gusty shifts kept everyone busy right to the final race.
Good racing, good atmosphere and exactly what Scorpion sailing should look like. Well done to all that participated over the weekend.
