A solid performance from the P&B Race Team at the Fireball Inland Championships. Yorkshire Dales Sailing Club hosted a dramatic and memorable event, the fleet's first visit back to Grimwith in 15 years.

Big congratulations to Paul Cullen and Vyv Townend on the overall win, taking both bullets on Saturday to secure it before a single race was completed on Sunday. An impressive showcase of skill in properly contrasting conditions, survival sailing on Saturday, and a hunt for wind on Sunday.

Well done to everyone who sailed over the weekend, a great event for the Fireballs. Now it's time to fix any damage and prepare for the winter champs at Rutland.

Congratulations to Barney Harris and David Byron – Albacore National Champions 2026.

Barney and David took the title at the Albacore Nationals at Thorpe Bay, a testing three-day series that swung from light and sunny to strong breeze and back again. They led from day one and held their nerve through the shifty, choppy conditions on day two to take the win.

There was a nice touch to the prize-giving too – their trophy was presented by Keith Musto, Olympic silver medallist and winner of the very first Albacore Nationals at Thorpe Bay, back in 1960.

Congratulations to Rory Gifford and Ben Whaley – National 12 National Champions 2026.

Rory and Ben took the title at Burton Week, Shoreham Sailing Club, with back-to-back race wins on the final day to seal it. They did it in a 23-year-old boat borrowed from Rory's uncle!

Rory's also the first winning helm younger than the boat he was sailing, breaking a run of results that's stood for 17 years.

What a week at the Fireball World Championship. As sponsors, it was a pleasure to be part of such a fantastic event. Great racing, a brilliant atmosphere around the boat park, and sailors from all over the world enjoying everything the class has to offer.

Congratulations to Race Team members, DJ Edwards & Vyv Townend, on becoming World Champions again, 26 years on from their last title together, and to Dave Wade & Iain Blake for finishing 3rd overall. It was also great to see P&B sails being used by 7 of the top 10 boats.

A big thank you to everyone who chose to sail with P&B this week, and to the organisers who made it such a memorable championship. Safe travels home, and we'll see you on the water soon. ⛵
