🏆 Grounds Team of the Year! 🏆

We are incredibly proud to share that Cogenhoe United Football Club has been named Northamptonshire FA Grounds Team of the Year! 💙💛

This award recognises the hard work, dedication and countless volunteer hours that go into making our pitches the very best they can be for every child who pulls on a Cogenhoe United shirt.
While the award may have been collected by our Club Secretary, this achievement belongs to an amazing team of volunteers.
A huge thank you goes to Evan and Jim, who spend hours every week—rain or shine, wind or snow—maintaining and preparing our pitches to an incredible standard. Your commitment gives our players the best possible environment to learn, develop and enjoy football.

We'd also like to thank our Chairman, Treasurer, Welfare Officer, coaches, committee members and every single volunteer who gives up their own time to make this club what it is. From fundraising and sponsorship to safeguarding, coaching, administration and maintaining our facilities, every role plays an important part in creating opportunities for our children.

💙 No one builds a successful grassroots football club on their own. This award reflects what can be achieved when a group of passionate volunteers share the same vision and work together for the benefit of young people.

Finally, thank you to all of our players, parents, sponsors and supporters. Your continued encouragement allows us to keep growing and improving year after year.

A huge thank you to Northamptonshire FA for this recognition. It means a great deal to everyone involved with the club.

💙💛 BUILD THE FUTURE OF GIRLS FOOTBALL AT COGENHOE UNITED 💙💛

We're excited to continue growing girls' football at Cogenhoe United Youth FC and are looking for girls currently in School Year 6 & 7 (from September) to join our new Under 12 Girls Team for the 2026/27 season.

Whether your daughter already plays football or has never kicked a ball before, everyone is welcome. Our focus is on creating a fun, friendly and supportive environment where girls can develop their skills, build confidence, make new friends and enjoy the game.

The team is led by Linda Jespere, a Northampton Town Women First Team Player and Latvia U19 International, who is passionate about helping young players develop both on and off the pitch.

Due to the high temperatures forecast this evening and with player welfare being our number one priority, we have made the decision to cancel tonight’s Under 12 Girls training session.

Whilst we’re all excited to keep building momentum with our brand new girls team, the safety and wellbeing of our players must always come first. 💙💛

We look forward to welcoming everyone back next week when temperatures are hopefully a little kinder for football!
