It’s almost time…. our ‘NVR in Practice’ Workshop Series is back from this Thursday!

Over the coming weeks we will be joined by a fabulous line-up of special guest speakers including Dr Tony Meehan (PartnershipProjects), Kerry Shoemith (Cherry Lane Therapeutic Services), Aimi Willmer (Nvr South), Al Coates MBE, Margaret Gilbert Life & Parent Coaching, Giovanni Aventaggiato, Tony France (Headsight Therapeutic Services & Training) & Will Sessions who will all share their expertise and unique experiences of applying the NVR approach across different contexts and varying levels of complexity.

Privileged and excited to speak at this event next weekend. Supporting families and schools in unprecedented times where dysregulation, insecurity and anxiety prevail..... Session Summary
Challenging behaviour and school avoidance are increasing, and staff are carrying more emotional load than ever. This session introduces Non‑Violent Resistance (NVR) as an alternative lens that enhances — not replaces — existing school practices. NVR brings together what we know about trauma, neurodiversity, young people’s voices, and the lived realities behind school avoidance, offering a fresh way to understand the complexity of behaviour in today’s classrooms.
Rather than providing strategies, this talk offers food for thought: a different avenue to explore in supporting pupils, while also honouring teacher and SNA self‑care. NVR is one of the few programmes that can be worked on both in families and in schools, helping parents and educators move forward together — on the same boat.
A reflective, thought‑provoking session for educators navigating the realities of teaching in a dysregulated, fast‑changing society — with space to consider new possibilities and shared ways forward.
