Today we say goodbye to Cathy Cunnington 'Darling Von Diamond' our Northamptonshire Instructor after a DECADE with BCD! She's hung up her fishnets and left us to miss her and all her hardwork and achievements over this past 10 years. Cathy you will be missed, much love from us all at BCD # # #

Congratulations to Ruth Stone from Northamptonshire BCD classes for being crowned this years 'Miss BCD 2026'

Nominated by her Instructor Lilah Fleur and chosen for the Ward by Kristal Kweer.

“Ruth is one of those people who brings energy, kindness and positivity wherever she goes. She has raised an incredible amount of money for charities through marathons and running events, always willing to push herself further to help others.
She is also a passionate athlete, playing both volleyball and rugby, and showing real determination, teamwork and strength in everything she does.
Within class, Ruth is an uplifting and encouraging presence. While she may not consider herself the strongest dancer, her progress has been incredible — and what truly stands out is her attitude. She isn’t afraid to laugh at herself when things go wrong, and she is always the first to support and cheer on others, creating a positive and welcoming environment for everyone.
Alongside this, her creative side shines through in the pebbles she paints, spreading little moments of joy and kindness within the community.
Ruth’s positivity, resilience and unwavering support for others make her a truly special part of our dance community and a very deserving International Women’s Day nominee.”
