🚨FINAL RESULT🚨
Wensum 5-2 Waterloo
An unfortunate final score line considering we dominated large parts the game and created a lot of chances. A stand out performance from Wensum’s goalie, a few unfavourable decisions and some bad luck really cost us the game.

We finish our second season as a club next Sunday against Woodton.

🚨FINAL SCORE🚨
Waterloo 1-3 West Norwich
Action packed game with both teams creating bundles of chances. The woodwork got struck more times than goals were scored, and the final tally could have easily been higher for both.
Some defensive errors and a missed penalty stopped us maintain our great form but the lads still created lots of chances and played some good football. WN just had a lot more fight and were able to capitalise on our mistakes.
Two games left this season but a week off next Sunday. We travel (all the way to where we train) on 23rd against Wensum Helles and finish the league away to Woodton on 30th.

🚨FINAL SCORE🚨
Frettenham 0-3 Waterloo
Consecutive clean sheets and another three points yesterday morning. The lads have really hit their stride and are putting in sublime performances. The mid table battle is heating up now, with Waterloo and Frettenham level on points. Our goal difference is letting us down but with our form, we’re hoping to finish the season with some more great results!

🚨FINAL SCORE🚨
Freethorpe 0-4 Waterloo
Overjoyed at the turn around from last week. We showed that we could get three points but weren’t clinical enough, making silly mistakes that cost us last Sunday. Today, we saw exactly what we’ve been building towards. Every single player gave everything and worked hard for one another from kick-off to the final whistle and it paid off. If we keep this up then we should be taking plenty more points home in the remaining games.
Well done lads - we go again next week.

Waterloo 0-6 EPC Res.
Another disappointing Sunday morning for the blues. Clinical finishing and a few avoidable mistakes in the box leading to a comfortable win for undoubtedly one of the favourites to win the league this season.
Despite playing some good football on the ground in short spells, EPC’s closing down and and precise passing were too much for us to handle.
We’re still a very new team with a seemingly ever changing starting 11, so going forward we will be looking at building our consistency and getting our squad more familiar and gelled as a unit.
Another tough fixture next week but we have to tackle it with confidence and belief - up the Waterloo!

Biggest game for the club so far!
Cup quarter-final day tomorrow and we host for what is shaping up to be a tasty fixture.
From the grit we witnessed in the last round, I know the guys are gonna be well up for it. We’ve also got a few faces back in the squad and a new face too. Exciting times for our growing club. It’s crazy to think this is only our second season.
On a side note, Waterloo were voted as winners of a recent league Sporting Award by the clubs in the division. We are beyond grateful and so pleased to be awarded this. Thank you to all the clubs we’ve played and the good spirit in which the games have been conducted.
Big up our gaffa and general legend, Chris who is incredibly professional on the club’s admin duties and when it comes to things on the pitch, his passion inspires us all! Also, thanks to all our players for their effort and performances and for generally being top lads.
Right, soppy stuff over. Up the Waterloo!! 💙

Waterloo 0-2 Woodton
Despite failing to take away any points this morning, the guys definitely stepped up a notch from last week’s disappointing result. The game was only decided by two set pieces (given, they were good deliveries and headers) but in open play we really matched up to another decent Woodton team.
3-5-2 formation worked pretty well and learning from our mistakes from last week, we nullified a lot of their long-ball threat. Some really good positives to take into next week’s cup quarter-final tie against Salhouse Rovers.
On the neighbouring pitch to our game, fights broke out and the game was called off. Our ref also had to assist, meaning our game was paused for 15 minutes while the fighting calmed down. Hope no one was badly hurt and when they have their re-match it’s a little less feisty! 💙

Waterloo v Woodton
Still missing a fair few players but the boys are raring to get out and put some things right this morning. We’ll be changing up our formation to combat some of that final third threat too.

A ruthless first half performance from really ended the game at 45 minutes (5-0). We had a selection headache in defence for this game, meaning we had to rely on a couple of players having to play out of position. Thankfully, after some half time changes we managed to get more into the battle, scoring, hitting the woodwork, a shot blocked off the line - resulting in drawing the half 1-1.
We’ll regroup for the home leg next week, where the boys will definitely be going to prove a point.
