Yesterday we hosted title contenders horsford to hinks meadow! Always a tough and entertaining game against a top side. We got off to a great start with clipping a great ball back across the box to who took a great first touch and finished into the far corner to make it 1-0! Horsford equalised with a really well taken free kick, the wall jumped and the horsford midfielder drilled the ball perfectly under the wall into the bottom corner leaving ._.c18 no chance and that’s how it stayed till half time! One change at the break with coming off after suffering a knock to be replaced by .olliek._ who wasted no time in getting involved, good work from him on the edge of the box finding with good feet to cut inside I finish nicely again to put us 2-1 up! Things got even better ten minutes later with finding who had timed his run well to race through and calmly slot into the bottom corner to extend our lead to 3-1! It wouldn’t be a taverham performance without us conceding from a set piece and that’s what happened with .chaplin_ nodding in from close range to make it 3-2 and a tense end to the game! We held out to take the 3points and felt we deserved it after a few times this season the boys all putting a shift in and coming up just short! Was a very tough decision to select the squad this week with a few boys missing out, but it was a real squad performance yesterday with the lads coming off the bench making a real impact and not letting the level drop and helping us to get over the line!

Sunday we host table topping as the games don’t get any easier for the boys following last weeks cup exit! A 2-0 defeat last time out against catton in what was a really well contested game and the boys could feel hard done by to come away with nothing!

Hopefully third times a charm as we look to finally get our first game of the year played against an in form Lakeford Rangers! The boys are in for a real test Sunday and know they will need to put in a top performance to progress to the next round of the cup!

Decembers player of the month in a very close run vote by the players is Luca Cunningham After a difficult month for the team Luca put in some real strong performances showing what a top young keeper he is!

After a well needed break we return to action in the trophy against familiar foes Lakeford rangers! With 2 meetings already this season and a win apiece it should be another close fought encounter with the winner moving on to the quarter final!

The season of good will and gift giving continues as we suffer our 3rd defeat in a row against a well drilled couple of poor goals again which the visitors took well! Christmas break comes at a gd point for us, we can have a reset and go again in the new year!

Tomorrow we host Lakeford Rangers in the league, we came out 2-1 winners on the first day of the season in what was a really close game so the boys know they will have to be at there best to get anything as we look to get back to winning was after last weeks disappointment!

First league defeat of the season today against who remain well clear at the top of the table! A great double penalty save from the catton keeper in the first half kept it at 0-0 but two goals in the second half gave them all 3 points! Boys gave a good account of themselves today, just need to be more ruthless in front of goal but we dust ourselves down and go again next week at home to lakeford 💙

We travel to table topping Sunday in what the lads know will be an extremely tough test against the high scoring league leaders! 10:00am kick off down at Lavare Park.

The boys ran out worthy winners today against higher opposition in the trophy .macey got things rolling with a composed 1v1 finish, grabbed a brace to see the half out and put us in a strong position! Couple of changes at half time but we got our 4th with a well taken free kick from ! grabbed his hattrick to make it 5 before fired in a quick fire treble of his own to wrap the game up! Conceded 3 poor goals from our point of view towards the end something we will have to be mindful of in the coming weeks!
