And wow… that’s a wrap for Apex.
What an absolute joy it has been to watch this team work so well together and see all those endless training sessions pay off. I couldn’t be prouder of the way everyone kept their spirits high and showed such incredible willpower and determination throughout.
For some of them this was their first fitness event, and for a few it was only there second, yet every single one of them gave it their all and absolutely outdone themselves.
There’s nothing more rewarding than working with a team that is willing to put everything into moments like this. I’ll say it again, and I’ll say it loud, this team deserves the biggest round of applause.

Massive congratulations to Izzy and Hannah for taking on their first Flat Out event and giving it their all from start to finish! 💥
Competing in the Women’s Doubles, they clocked an incredible 59m, breaking the sub-60m mark! Couldn’t be prouder of the dedication, effort, and teamwork they’ve shown - what a fantastic result and what a bloody brilliant time we’ve had!

What matters most is that you’re showing up for you. No one else can do that.
Motivation will come and go, but it’s discipline that keeps us going. When motivation fades, remind yourself why you started. Knowing your “why” gives you purpose, keeps you accountable, and helps you stay consistent - day after day.
Even on the days when it feels hard to show up, remember: doing something - no matter how small - is better than doing nothing. Slowly chipping away, ticking those boxes, and staying consistent will help you get to where you want to be. It might not always feel like you’re making progress, but those small steps you take each day will lead to big results over time.

Tom’s journey has been incredible to witness - both physically and mentally. Watching his growth in and out of the gym is a constant reminder of why I love what I do.
From starting at 120kg BW to reaching a new low of 94kg, Tom has dropped a massive 26kg - and that’s just part of the story. Not only is he leaner, but he’s also the strongest he’s ever been, recently hitting personal bests in his SBD lifts:
Squat: 170kg
Bench Press: 110kg
Deadlift: 200kg
From being nervous to even unrack the bar on bench press, to confidently lifting numbers like these - it’s been a privilege to coach him over the past few years. We’ve faced setbacks along the way, but with the right rehab, patience, and consistency, Tom has pushed through every challenge.
And this is only the beginning. Tom’s got so much more to give, and I’m absolutely buzzing to keep pushing and see what the next chapter brings! 💥
Here’s what he had to say about his journey:
“My journey has been a lot of trial and error with my food and exercise routines. I have found that what may have worked for me at the beginning may not be what works for me now and to achieve lasting change for me means adapting to changes and accepting mentally that this journey will never be a linear one.
Over the last year I have noticed serious improvements in my strength, performance and general wellbeing, its not been without struggles I have had 3 injuries that have prevented me from achieving my goals in my original timeframe but with constant support from Bex we have managed to create a plan that has ensured I have come out of these setbacks stronger then before.
I may not arrived at my desired destination yet but I’m seriously enjoying the journey so far.”
