A slow, 10-minute yoga flow… perfect to start your morning or as a wind down at the end of the day.

If you’re busy juggling work and the summer holidays, just taking a few minutes out for yourself can make ALL the difference!

5–10 minutes of stretching can help to release tension, improve flexibility and mobility, ease stress, boost circulation and leave you feeling calmer, more grounded and refreshed.

You don’t need a whole hour…
just a few minutes to pause, breathe and reconnect with yourself. 🧡

Have a great day

After a rocky start to our trip away (an unexpected cancelled flight and a nights stay at the Luton airport Holiday Inn ! 🫠) we managed to squeeze in a few nights away in beautiful Olhao in Portugal…

Island hopping, lots of sunshine and gorgeous food.

A wonderful place - we will definitely be back! ☀️🧡🌴

I woke up this morning feeling pretty out ofsync with my hormones, so I rolled straight out of bed, stayed in my pyjamas and spent 5 minutes in a supported reclined butterfly pose with my arms extended overhead.

Lately, I haven’t been feeling particularly balanced hormonally so I chose toslow down with a simple Yin Yoga practice.

This gentle supported reclined butterfly pose is one of my favourite Yin Yoga poses for hormonal balance, nervous system support, and creating a calm, grounded start to the day.

✨ Holding this pose for around 5 minutes can:

🤍 Encourage deep relaxation by helping shiftyour body into a more restorative state.

🤍 Gently open the hips and chest, where many ofus store stress and tension.

🤍 Support deeper breathing and help calm a busy mind.

🤍 Encourage mindfulness and reconnect you with your body.

🤍 Help create a sense of balanceand wellbeing by reducing stress, which can support your body’s natural hormonal rhythms.

While Yin Yoga isn’t a treatment for hormonal imbalances, practices that encourage relaxation and reduce stress can be a beautiful way to support your overall wellbeing.

Sometimes the best morning routine isn’t doing more… it’s giving yourself permission to pause.

Have you ever tried a 5-minute Yin Yogapractice before getting dressed?

I’d love to knowif you’ll be trying this supported reclined butterfly pose.

💛 Save this for the mornings when you need agentle reset.

If Malasana feels impossible, watch this!

You do not need to force yourself into a deep yogi squat to experience the benefits of Malasana.

This pose is fantastic for improving hip mobility, ankle mobility, lower back flexibility, balance, and functional movement… and there are plenty of ways to make it work for your body.

Try these accessible Malasana variations:

📜 Place a rolled-up blanket under your heels if they don’t comfortably reach the floor. This creates a more stable base and allows you to relax into the pose instead of struggling to stay balanced.

⬆️ Lift your hips higher or take another variation, like butterfly pose.

🙌 Use yoga blocks under your hands for extra support and stability if reaching the floor feels out of reach.

👣 Adjust the width of your feet and your squat depth until you find a position where you can breathe comfortably and feel supported.

The goal isn’t to look a certain way.

The goal is to build strength, mobility, confidence, and awareness…working with your body, not against it.

If your body has limitations right now, that’s okay. 💛

Honour where you are today. Progress happens when we practise consistently, use the support we need, and stop comparing our journey to someone else’s.

There is no “perfect” Malasana—only the variation that’s right for you.

✨ Save this post for your next practice, and share it with someone who needs the reminder that yoga is for every body.

What happens when Crow Pose 🐦 meets Tripod Headstand 🤸‍♀️? A little balance, a little strength, and a whole lot of fun! 🤩

I haven’t tried this playful yoga transition for a while… it challenges your core, builds arm strength, improves balance, and reminds us that practice doesn’t always have to be serious. Sometimes the best progress comes from exploring and having fun on the mat and not taking yourself too seriously!

Have you tried transitioning from Crow Pose (Bakasana) to Tripod Headstand (Sirsasana II)? Let me know how it goes! 👇

🧡Save this for your next yoga practice.
🧘‍♀️Share it with a friend who loves inversions.
