I can’t believe I’m still reading posts about getting a “bikini body” in 2025 🥱

I truly believe that people should be allowed to make any decision for their body that they like, and if that includes fat loss, then I support that. However, I do think it should be done for the right reasons. I don’t believe aiming to look like someone you saw on instagram is the right reason.

There are so many great reasons to train, don’t assume it’s all about conforming to beauty standards.

Regular exercise can be a part of your life. It might take time to find a way that works for you and your lifestyle, but once you do, you won't look back.

For example, I've worked with Natalie for over 2 years. She trains with me and uses her program to do her own sessions in the gym when she can. It's taken some hard work, but she makes an improvement almost every time we meet. Recently she completed her 100th session and got a shiny new hoodie as a result.

If you're in need of some motivation or your unsure of where to start, contact me for a free discovery call.

Which direction will your training go in?

If you’re starting your fitness journey (or returning to it after some time away), what can you do NOW to be still doing it in a year’s time?

It’s easy to see exercise as a short-term solution, influenced by a culture that prioritises quick fixes and drastic ‘transformations’. We're conditioned to chase immediate results, often at the cost of sustainable habits.

At the beginning of a fitness journey, we often have good intentions. We throw ourselves into it and the excitement of starting something new powers us through for a couple of months. But then life throws up challenges, you start to miss a few sessions. Eventually, you think “oh well I tried 🤷🏼‍♀️” and you stop completely. Lots of people end up in this place, waiting for a new wave of motivation to eventually get them going again.

However, it doesn't have to be this way. It may not be the best business model for me, but I’ve actually convinced people to have FEWER PT sessions to begin with. I believe in adding exercise that fits with your lifestyle, having adaptable training sessions and fostering sustainable habits. With this, your fitness journey can last for the whole of this year and beyond.

Set achievable goals, celebrate small victories, and remember you get to decide what counts as progress. 👏🏼

5 Ways To Stay Active When Working From Home 23/06/2022

I’ve written a blog post about how to overcome the difficult side of working from home. I wrote this as I felt like I needed to be honest about how tough I’ve found the last couple of years, what I tried to do to help me feel more human again and the importance of physical activity. If you relate, I hope it can help. If you’re reading this, put your phone down and go for a walk, I promise you’ll feel better. That email isn’t more important that your well-being. If you need someone to talk to, send me a message or if you’re really struggling, speak to your GP. The world is weird, look after yourself!
