Nutrition made simple 🥦
Some more of our meals that my 3 year old enjoys, from a nutritionally conscious but not perfect mum! For example, i've used a shop bought Korma sauce for convenience with the curry but packed it full of fibre and vitamin rich vegetables. For a long time i'd beat myself up of I didn't make everything from scratch, but with a business to run, mixing convenience with fresh is sometimes the best option for me.
We always eat together, so all the meals here are family meals that we all enjoy. They make great leftover lunches too.

Nutrition made simple 🥦
Meals my 3.5 year old eats with us... as nutrition conscious but not 'perfect' mum.
I often follow accounts on here for meal ideas but instantly get put off with how many ingredients there are, or how un-realistic they are. We eat very simple meals that are nutritionally balanced, quick to cook and that we all enjoy.
I'll share more as and when we make them, as a reminder that simple is absolutely fine when it comes to feeding a family 😊

Taking your baby in to a gym environment can feel intimidating. I get it. Thats why I have always prioritised safety over numbers.
Small groups ✅️
Age limit ✅️
Play pen ✅️
The more mobile babies are safe in the pen during the session and are visible to the parent at all times. Away from any equipment and not able to cause a trip hazard to members moving around the gym. This is how we have always, and will continue to operate 🥰

Let's talk about the fear of lifting heavy...
I've been a PT for well over 10 years now and this has been a theme throughout. So many of my clients have expressed that they are scared to lift heavy weights as they don't want to get big muscles.
I think this stems from the media's historic depiction of females and lifting weights. Images of female body builders enhanced with the use of steroids etc. I remember my mum working out to exercise videos using 2kg dumb bells and the same mindset.
I grew up with the opposite mentality. I was obsessed with the female Gladiators and how strong yet feminine they were. I wanted to look and feel strong.
When I quit sprinting I took to natural female Bodybuilding. It was then that I realised actually just how hard it is to build the kind of muscle a lot of women are scared of. It's really bloody hard 😅.
I trained relentlessly, lifting heavy 5 times per week, taking protein shakes etc and yet the photo above is a result of doing that for around 6 years. Genetics play a huge role, and for me, adding muscle mass was painstakingly slow.
I just wanted to show you this to give a real life example of what muscle building can look like for women.
Don't be afraid to lift heavy weights. You will gain Muscle, Strength, Confidence and all the health benefits that come with it ❤️
