Ian from big scuba podcast has started his PSAI UK and Scandinavia Side mount course journey with instructor Matt Rivett.
Have fun Ian!
Was good to get my sidemount theory and test out of the way this week. Thanks to Instructor Matt Rivett and Scott's Scuba Services for his support too. Really looking forward to getting in the water with a couple of tanks nicely positioned under my arms.

Last few weeks I have been involved on a Saturation diving project. SAT divers are the unsung hero's of the Subsea world! Locked inside a chamber for 28 days at a time, and working in harsh conditions at 130M several hours a day.
Us tech divers moan if we have several hours of decompression to do but these guys need 5 days to get out of the chamber to normality!!
Full respect 🙏

Nice dive on the wreck we 'think' is the Esparto off Eastbourne. If it is the Esparto then its a 240ft British Steamer Schooner rigged with three vertical triple expansion engines registered in 1880. In 1897 She was hit by another vessel the 'Noel'. Matt has posted a video of the dive on his personal page. Sea was flat calm and Viz was about 3M. Thanks to Dive125 for the ride out - https://www.dive125.co.uk/
