It’s Monday.
You don’t need to start again.
You don’t need to undo the weekend.
You don’t need to eat less because you ate more than usual.
You don’t need to exercise to make up for the meal, the drinks or the pudding.
And you definitely haven’t “ruined everything”.
Just carry on.
🥑Have breakfast.
💦 Drink some water.
🌱Get outside for a walk if you can.
🫀Eat food that gives your body what it needs.
🤸🏾♀️Move because it makes you feel good, not because you owe your body a punishment.
🥴And if today you’re tired, stressed, hormonal or simply not feeling it, perhaps what you need isn’t to push harder.
👂 Maybe it’s to listen.
I think we’ve become so used to Mondays being about starting again that we forget we’re allowed to simply keep going.
Health isn’t built from perfect Mondays.
It’s built over ordinary weeks, messy weekends, holidays, celebrations, difficult days and all the bits of life that happen in between.
I had a weekend of celebrating my Daughters 30th so it was filled with carbs and less movement, the old me would have started Monday with telling myself all that I’ve got to do and go without to get back on track, now I enjoy celebrations without a Monday telling off, I just eat well, move and enjoy the memories of a lovely weekend.
So if you need a Monday reminder this morning:
You haven’t failed. There’s nothing to start again. Just do the next thing that looks after you 🥰
Let’s make a pact! No more Monday restarts and punishments but a Monday where we just carry on doing all the things that serve our body and mind well!
After all why raise your cortisol levels with so much stress?! 🤔

There’s something about September that always feels like a bit of a reset.
The summer holidays are coming to an end, routines start returning, the endless social events start to dwindle and, particularly for women, it can feel like a chance to finally put a little time back into ourselves.
But this September, instead of the usual “I must get back on it” mindset, think about doing things differently.
Not because you need to punish yourself for what you’ve eaten over the summer.
Not because you need to make yourself smaller.
But because you deserve to feel strong, healthy and confident in your body.
Personal training with me is about much more than simply counting reps.
Yes, we’ll lift weights and get physically stronger. But we’ll also look at what you need — your confidence around exercise, nutrition, energy, hormonal health and the things that may be getting in the way of feeling like yourself.
Whether you’re navigating perimenopause or menopause, haven’t exercised for years, feel intimidated by the gym or simply know it’s time to start making yourself a priority again, we’ll start exactly where you are.
I currently have a small number of spaces available for 1:1 Personal Training (day time only)
Book a block of 10 sessions by 26th August for £395 and I’ll add an 11th session at no extra cost.
All sessions are tailored to you and the block can be used across 12 weeks.
Maybe this September isn’t about getting back to an old version of yourself.
Maybe it’s time to discover just how strong the next version can be 😊
Message me if you’d like to have a chat about booking in or just to see if you feel comfortable to train with me 😊
I love a September reset, let’s do it together 🤩

Run Stronger had two runs going on tonight, three of us got absolutely soaked running through the storm in the woods but worth it to see all the deer and a beautiful stag 🦌
Whilst David Burton Running had a prep run for Run Norwich through the city.
Well done everyone, see you all next week.
We’re out every Wednesday 6:30 pm if you fancy joining us 🏃♀️ 🏃♂️

Sometimes being strong means knowing when NOT to push.
I’ve had a couple of sessions recently that looked quite different from what we’d originally planned.
Sharon is having to gradually build back up to her usual training following a diagnosis so we’ve adapted what we’re doing while she regains her strength and fitness and staying within safe guidelines.
And Bex arrived having tweaked her back. Rather than cancelling the session or pushing through something that didn’t feel right, we changed the plan — some gentle mobility, appropriate movement and lighter weights.
And both sessions were still valuable.
Because exercise doesn’t always have to mean pushing harder, lifting heavier or finishing exhausted.
Sometimes the strongest thing you can do is listen to your body and work with it rather than against it.
🔸Bodies change
🔸Life happens
🔸Illness happens
🔸Injuries happen
🔸Hormones change
🔸Energy changes
🔸Menopause happens!
And our movement can change with them.
I’ve always believed that listening to your body is so important, rather than punishing yourself because it’s not where you were yesterday or last week.
So we adapt, adjust and keep moving, even if that means a walk instead of a run, a light band session instead of a heavy barbell.
Being strong isn’t always about doing more. Sometimes it’s being wise enough to do what you need. 💚

There’s so much emphasise on recording steps, your pace, distance etc but sometimes it’s just nice to not record a thing except what’s around you.
How much do we miss because we view things through a phone? How many moments do we miss?
Don’t get me wrong I love taking a photo but today I switched the phone off until I took this one photo, I didn’t even wear my watch to record my steps or distance.
I just enjoyed nature, blue sky and certainly the heat was a challenge but for a little bit I was undisturbed and enjoying conversation with my Son before he flies back to Mexico.
If you’re struggling or feeling overwhelmed take time out to just be and not do for a little bit.
It’s like having a mini reset 😊
