The Women’s Cycling Safety Audit wants to hear from women and gender-diverse people about what would make cycling feel safer in Norwich — whether you cycle all the time, occasionally, haven’t cycled in years or have never cycled but want to.

Your experience and views can help shape what needs to change. And there are four £50 Pedal Revolution vouchers up for grabs!

Eaton Park Volunteer Gardeners
August 5th

We had a good team this morning and got a lot done. Thank you to the eleven volunteers for all their hard work. We weeded and tidied up the bandstand, lily-pond and raised café beds. Team Louise turned the compost heaps and then spot watered some of the newer plants in the bandstand beds. We also watered the planters in the Community Centre and tidied the neighbouring paving areas. Two of us trundled 18 full watering cans (using the trolley and wheelbarrow) down to the fruit trees. They quickly soaked up the water.

Considering the lack of rain, most the plants are surviving surprisingly well. It’s easy to spot the robust ones: Achillea, Tradescantia, Verbena, Salvias, Persicaria, Fennel, Lavender and Rudbeckia. We should aim to have more of these.

Well done, team!

Our next session will be Thursday 3rd September. Hopefully, we’ll have had some rain before then. If you’d like to get involved just email us at [email protected]
