And so it begins...... the routine pressure wash, disinfect and painting!

Update:

As of this afternoon all quarantine biosecurity has been lifted under veterinary advice here. All horses are fit and well.

We would.like to thank everyone for their support and best wishes.

Special thanks to our liveries, Westover Vets for their guidance and assistance and attending farriers, physios, dentists for working with us on biosecurity.

We can confirm results are back it is NOT STRANGLES!

Horse can now be given suitable antibiotics to clear her illness.

We are going to keep her isolated till healthy and continue with biosecurity for the next 7 to 10 days.

Is is confirmed it is NOT strangles.

Horse now receiving antibiotics and should return to full health in next few days.

Update.....

We.have currently had horse test negative for strangles but positive for strep zoo.

Still isolated to one case, further tests being run tomorrow and hope to have results back by end of this week.

UPDATE. It has been confirmed this evening it is NOT strangles.feeling very releved and incredibly proud of my staff and liveries.

We currently have one horse suffering from a respiratory issue with a fever. We have to assume at this point it could be strangles while awaiting test results.

Therefore full biosecurity has been inititiated on the property and we are in lockdown

All horses are being monitored closely with twice daily temperature checks.with no further horses showing any symptoms.

Will update once results are confirmed.
