🎄CHRISTMAS MOVIE SOCIAL🎄

Join us on Monday 5th December to watch “How the Grinch Stole Christmas” in Lecture Theatre 2, from 7pm. Bring snacks, your festive spirit, and maybe even cosy Christmas pyjamas🤭✨

✨SCORPIO AUDITIONS✨

Every year we hold our very own pole competition- Scorpio! Select universities from across the countries come to UEA and enjoy a friendly competition

Scorpio is split into four stages; Beginner,
Intermediate, Advanced, and Group!

Details are still being finalised for the competition, however it will be happening on a Saturday in March 2023

Our auditions for Scorpio are now open! Audition dates are:
- Thursday 8th December, 6:30pm - 7:30pm
- Saturday 10th December, 12:30pm - 1:30pm

If you would like to audition as a UEA competitor, during your audition you will need to the following:
- a basic dance routine (not on the pole) given by us (posted in another post)
- 3 moves on the pole that seamlessly link together (within your ability level)
- 2 moves on the pole that don't necessarily link together (these 2 moves should attempt to show your strength, such as a climb)

✨WATERFRONT SOCIAL✨

Our next social is on Friday 2nd December! We will be going to The Queen of Iceni first, then end the night at The Waterfront, (timings will be announced via our Facebook group chat). We have also been given a discounted entry fee of £3!

No theme for this night out so come in whatever you’re comfortable with!

💛SPORTS NIGHT🧡

The theme for this week’s Sports Night is Hawaiian! Grab your favourite garland and join us for a luau🧉🌸

We will announce on our story when tickets are available via UEA SU site!

Meeting location and time will be announced on the members Facebook groupchat so keep an eye out for that!

Please note: we do not promote or tolerate excessive drinking. We also will not pressure anyone to drink during any of socials- as always, please speak to a committee member if you have any concerns, or DM us 💛 we want everyone to have a good night out

👠HEELS TASTER WORKSHOP 🖤

We are offering the chance for our members to learn a new skill and attend a heels workshop in the new year, taught by one of our amazing coaches, Holly Munson. We will be holding two taster workshops before the Christmas holiday so anyone interested in this can try before they buy

Our heels taster workshop dates will run on Thursday 24th November and Thursday 8th December, both from 8:30pm to 9:30pm in Cong Hall 01.20

You will need to bring your own high heels (just normal ones), or if you do not have any, you can try the moves on the tip of your toes, although we strongly suggest you do use heels to get the most out of the taster workshop

Free tickets go on sale for both dates on Wednesday 23rd November at 9am via our UEA SU page. There is a LIMITED availability, so grab your tickets ASAP to avoid disappointment. These are the only two taster dates for our heels workshop.
Ticket sales ends on the same day at 9pm. Please only book for ONE day- do not book for both, as we want to give everyone the chance to try this amazing skill

PLEASE NOTE:
1) When the official workshop goes on sale after the new year, you will need to have purchased close toed pole heels. These can be found online, and closer to the time we will suggest online shops to buy these heels from, and any discount codes we may have! We suggest you do research prior to us suggesting online shops, so you can get a rough estimate as to how much you might be spending on these heels. You might even want to ask for a pair for Christmas🎅✨!
2) You MUST commit to the official workshop once it goes on sale in the new year. There will be more details on attendance closer to the time, but we will not tolerate too many absences
3) If you have not purchased a Sunday lesson for this semester, and are planning to attend the taster workshop, once you have booked your place onto the taster, please email us as we will need to send you a health form, otherwise you will not be able to attend the taster workshop.

💜ROLLER SKATING💜

Join us on Thursday 17th November at Funkys in Norwich for a sober roller skating social!

There are two meet up locations to choose from;
1) Meet outside UEA Sportspark for 6:15pm, where we will walk to the bus stop on Rockingham Road, to get the 21 towards Old Catton
OR
2) Meet us at Funkys for 7:20pm

- Tickets are bought at Funkys on arrival for £8.50
- Roller skate hire is £1

As term is coming to an end soon, and some of you may be going home for the break soon, here’s a reminder of when our final lesson and practice is!
