NOT SURE HOW TO ENGAGE YOUR LATS DOING DEADLIFTS?
This cue might be helpful!
Lat (latissimus dorsi) engagement is really important when performing deadlift variations, cleans, and other lifts as it sets your back into a safe and strong position that allows you to utilise force from your hips and legs to lift the weight
Hopefully this cue is helpful for finding that engagement!

IN AND OUT OF THE GYM IN 30 MINUTES
EMOM = every minute on the minute
If you’re looking to get a really speedy full body workout this is, in my opinion, one of the best ways to do it.
Pick 5 exercises
- a squatting or lunge movement
- a hinge movement
- a pushing movement
- a pulling movement
- a core movement
Start a new exercise for a set number of reps or as many as possible at the start of each minute (giving 10-15s to transition between movements) , and repeat 4 times!

As a long overdue introduction- this is a bit about me!
I am a personal trainer based at NR12 Fitness in Wroxham, Hoveton.
Since starting out in the gym at 16, I have made many mistakes (so you don’t have to!) and learnt many lessons over the past nearly 8 years!
I started training CrossFit at 17, and learnt to row at university at 19. With both sports shaping me into the trainer I am today.
I have a masters degree in Sport and Exercise Science from the University of Birmingham, alongside multiple years of experience in strength and conditioning working with amateur and academy all the way to professional athletes and clubs.
My experience also extends to youth and older adult training- whatever your age or experience, if you want to get stronger and fitter, I can help!
I am also a committed athlete with experience rowing for England and other domestic races (with more to come!) , as well as delving back into CrossFit more recently.
Specific areas I can help with:
- Strength training for sport
- General strength training
- Fitness goals/ Metcon style training
- Technique in specific weightlifting movements
