Huge congratulations to our Eaton 2 team on achieving back to back promotions in the Norfolk ladies league! Having secured their place at the top of division 4 with a home win against Caldecott Hall today, the team can look forward to matches in division 3 next year. Well done to captain Catherine Jeffries and the whole Eaton 2 squad.

🌸🐝 A fabulous President’s Day at Eaton! 🐝🌸

Today we celebrated our wonderful Ladies President, Judith, with her special President’s event at Eaton. We were treated to a fabulous halfway house, some fun games and a delicious lunch.

The prizes followed a wonderful birds and bees theme, and we were even lucky enough to receive beautiful pots of honey from Judith’s very own hives! 🍯🐝

Congratulations to Larissa and Ali, who came out on top and won the President’s Bowl! 🏆👏

Judith has been the most fabulous President, caring so passionately for the welfare of our flourishing women’s section. She is pictured with her two Captains — Debs, last year’s Captain, and Liz, this year’s Captain — alongside Siobhan, our Vice Captain.

It was a very special day and an emotional one for Judith. ❤️

Today our Monday evening players shared the putting green with England golfer, Curtis Cup player and US Open qualifier, Nellie Ong! Fortunately our drills and putting activities weren't too much of a distraction from her lesson with Chase! Thanks to Sally for organising the session which was thoughtfully planned to help with pace and technique.

🏌️‍♀️ A fabulous pathway into golf at Eaton! 💙

At Eaton, we’re incredibly proud of the pathway we’ve created over the last 5 years to help women discover golf, build confidence and ultimately become members.

We started this years process back in March with a free Academy Open Afternoon, followed by group lessons through our Academy programme. From there, women can progress to Academy Plus, with individual lessons and 9-hole vouchers to help them develop their game at their own pace.

As confidence grows, they can move on to our Monday Fun Golf, where they play 9 holes with the support and encouragement of our wonderful Academy team.

We truly believe Eaton is one of the most supportive and welcoming places to try, learn and fall in love with golf.

It’s wonderful to see so many women progressing through the pathway, making new friends and enjoying their golf. ⛳️💙

What an incredible month it has been for Ann Lockhart and her granddaughter Jess Ellis, with some fantastic achievements both individually and together.

🏆 Ann won the Norfolk Seniors Handicap Cup
🏆 Jess won the Norfolk Juniors Birdie Cup
🥉 And today, they teamed up to finish third in the Norfolk Gun Cup at Southwold.

But it’s not all serious competition at Eaton! 😂 Despite all their golfing success, Ann and Jess also found time to transform themselves into Oompa Loompas from Charlie and the Chocolate Factory for Liz’s Captain’s Day Challenge — finishing a brilliant second! 🍫🧡💚

What a fabulous example of how golf can bring generations together, creating not only sporting success but some wonderful memories along the way.

Congratulations to Nellie on being selected to represent 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿England at the upcoming Home Internationals! These will take place from 4–6 August at Woodbrook Golf Club, County Wicklow, Ireland. 👍

A huge well done to our fantastic Eaton Women, who narrowly missed out in today’s Gilleison Knockout quarter-final away at Sprowston Manor.

Led by our captain, Pat, the team played some outstanding golf but were unfortunate to suffer a heartbreaking 2–1 defeat, with the deciding matches going to the 17th hole.

Congratulations to Sharon, Kay, Sue, Selina, Ann and Kerry, who all played brilliantly and represented Eaton with pride.

Thanks also goes to Sally and Larissa for their contributions in the earlier rounds of the competition and to our fabulous supporters. Every one of you played your part in a fantastic team effort.

You all did Eaton proud! 💙⛳

And apologies to anyone who happened to be passing Eaton Golf Club today… you may have wondered why there were 90 women dressed in musical-themed outfits! 🎭🎶 It was all in celebration of this year’s Captain’s mantra: “We Are All in This Together.”

Liz and her family were incredible hosts, making everyone feel so welcome. We even teed off to our own musical theme tunes, which made the day even more memorable!

A special mention to Janet (one of our fabulous nuns!), whose spectacular musical-themed flower arrangements were absolutely stunning. 🌸🎼

Eaton really is the most welcoming, inclusive, supportive, and fun group of golfers you could wish to be part of. Days like today remind us just how lucky we are. Here’s to great friendships, plenty of laughter, and making wonderful memories together! ❤️
