Stepping Stones Norwich

We are really excited to share that from Monday 14th September we will be opening our Stepping Stones community cafe Carrow House FIVE days a week (Monday to Friday)! 👏😃

This will give more of our students an opportunity to gain valuable work skills in a very supportive, dynamic, delicious smelling environment. 💐☕

Thanks to all at Carrow House Norwich Unity Hub who have supported Stepping Stones and this project over the 9 months we have been there; we LOVE being a part of the vibrant and thriving community there.

We will continue to have our delicious coffees, teas, cakes, savouries on offer and a range of new lunch options catering to many dietary options - all made in house at Stepping Stones HQ.

Over the summer we will continue to operate on just Tuesdays and Wednesdays, 10 - 2, whilst we get everyone trained up and ready to go, so please pop on down if you are able to!

We gratefully received funding from the fantastic Norwich Consolidated charities to deliver a project we have wanted to do for some time - supporting our students with Independent DIY Home Life Skills.

The funding has allowed us to recruit a new tutor, Clive, to work with our students as they learn & practice DIY skills & tasks that will promote their independence and confidence at home.

The students have already been busy, drilling, sanding, fixing and gluing - working on some nice new additions to the centre! 🔧🛠🪛👏

Our Seed to Sales project is in full swing at Stepping Stones - the first seedlings have been planted by the students at our centre on Heartsease Lane.

At our other allotment space the students have been cutting these beautiful flowers ready for us to sell at our pop up cafe at Carrow House.

Our good friends at Opening Doors ( ) are holding their Healthy, Happy, Safe Day 2026 on Wednesday 17 June at The Forum, Norwich; this time for Learning Disability Week 2026.

This is a brilliant FREE day – planned and run by people with learning disabilities for people with learning disabilities.

Unfortunately we can't be part of it this year but when we were a couple of years ago it was a real celebration so go check it out if you can.

We are so excited to announce that our adult T-shirts are now available from our website you can check it out, here!

Our t shirts feature our students hand drawn designs printed on unisex organic cotton t-shirts and ethically made. They are screen-printed in Norwich with a mix of environmentally friendly water based, discharge and phthalate free plastisol inks.

🌱 Volunteers Wanted – Gardening Sessions 🌱

Do you enjoy being outdoors and getting your hands dirty? We’re looking for friendly volunteers to help with our gardening sessions!

You don’t need to be an expert gardener – just have a willingness to help with general gardening duties such as planting, weeding, tidying, and supporting our sessions. It’s a great way to meet new people, learn new skills, and make a positive difference in our community.

🧤 All abilities welcome on various days/times.
🌼 Fresh air, good company, and plenty of tea/coffee (sometimes cake) will be provided!
