Can’t wait to get back to the Alpes! This was 2017 I think. Must improve cornering! 😆

does ride a bike for transport but he prefers Kayaks. They’re his thing.
Here he shows some great form on the pull bench (& ankle mobility), with an balance pad to fine tune the height. Squeeze those shoulder blades together! Concentrated on the back. Nice work Robert 👍

Loved this bike shelter from yesterday’s visit. Bikes and nature. Everything good. 👍

Love the Reedham Ferry in Norfolk. You get to use a super old school chain ferry for a £1 and I can use Apple Pay. Such a great area to ride in.

was on the podcast recently. Episode 200 was a great listen! In the podcast Joey talked about this exercise helping her riding.

This is the Half Kneeling Bottoms Up Kettlebell Press being practiced by seasoned MTB gents & at Wheel Fitness HQ in Norwich.
It’s a real shoulder stability and grip challenge added to an open hip position. If you are fairly mobile you can try it with the open hip on the pressing side too. Keep the KB handle in line with your forearm by crushing and steering. Push the KB high whilst trying super hard not to lean back or to the side. If you find this hard then you may need to find a way to work on your shoulder mobility. Brace your abs. Oh and leave you ego at the door! Start much lighter than you think you should try. Also chalk can help.

What do you do to unwind, stop, meditate, be mindful, relax, reduce stress or what ever you like to call giving yourself a break? This is one of the things Wheel Fitness would recommend.
Find somewhere where you can get away from broadband/wifi and people and just stay there for a bit. Switch your phone off too. Properly off. It can wait.

The ProPilot press up can be a great alternative to classic strength exercises such as the bench press for mountain bikers. This will definitely help with getting you away from your bars in a big compression or in a G heavy berm situation!
Here Mike demonstrates, with loads of stabilising needed to perform the movement successfully.

Quick Tip - if you are setting up a new training area at home or making adjustments to your existing set up, this is for you.
Make sure you think about the height of your screen/TV. Don’t set it too high with your bike very close. Low/ish with a little room to get back from it and your neck will thank you for it. Time on the indoor trainer with a high screen will be pretty uncomfortable for lots of people and horrible for many. A little thought about your set up can help a lot.

Oops, had to test this bike today and the belt snapped. Fortunately there wasn’t a crotch to stem interface as a result.

Very quick tip. If you have a Wattbike Atom at home which is used by another person, do yourself a favour and pick up another seatpost set up so that change overs can be much quicker and easier.

Previous weight 8.17kg

Post tyre and tube change 8.02kg

Will the new bars and tape which go on next take it under 8?
